As of January 2022, there are more than 3.8 million women with a history of breast cancer in the U.S. Since breast cancer mainly occurs in middle-aged and older women who are post menopausal, it is important to support these women with their menopausal symptoms. Studies have shown that subcutaneous testosterone therapy relieves symptoms of hormone deficiency in women with and without breast cancer, as well as also improving their quality of life while maintaining overall health and wellbeing. Menopausal symptoms can be quite severe in breast cancer survivors in whom estrogen therapy is contraindicated. A study done on breast cancer survivors treated with testosterone/anastrozole pellets showed improvement in symptoms including psychological complaints (depression, irritability/aggression, anxiety), somatic complaints (hot flashes/sweating, heart discomfort, sleep problems, physical exhaustion, impaired memory, joint/muscular pain) and urogenital complaints (vaginal dryness, bladder problems/incontinence, sexual problems). The only side effect has been a slight increase in facial hair. Our practice, Palm Beach Breast Institute, has been caring for patients with the Biote Method for over 5 years. We have been treating breast cancer survivors with testosterone or testosterone/anastrozole pellets with excellent relief of symptoms without major side effects. #menopause #antiaging #hotflashes #nightsweats #medspa #sexualdesire #testosterone #energy (at Bella Medici Medical Spa) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cj4S8a6DwEY/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
