"  NOOOO  ,  "  cries  little  fox.  "C'mon,  Clover,  seriously."  She  huffs,  scooting  backwards  on  her  bed,  patting  the.  .  .  well,  to  be  frank,  she's  got  a  massive  bed.  There  is  plenty  of  space  that  she's  beckoning  to.  Clover  could  take  up  however  much  they  wanted.  "There's  so  much  space  up  here!!  Why  would  you  sleep  on  the  floor?  I  don't  kick  or  anything  in  my  sleep,  you'd  be  fine!"

Well,  she's  like  ninety-nine  percent  sure  she  doesn't  kick  in  her  sleep.  It's  very  possible,  she  supposes.  But  as  far  as  she  knows!  It's  perfectly  safe!  If  Clover  is  staying  over  for  the  night,  they  are  not  sleeping  on  the  floor  for  it.  "I  really  don't  mind,  I  promise!"

"  OH  !!  i'm  so  sorry  !!  "  she  lets  out  a  sheepish  little  laugh.  "i  guess  i  get  kinda  loud  when  i'm  excited,  i  didn't  mean  to.  .  .  yeah.  um.  sorry!!"

she leans forward, bouncing up on her toes. "um, is it okay if i ask who it is right now? not that - i just mean you don't sound like moony, and kris told me about. . . or - augh, i'm sorry. i'm being a pest." kanako laughs again, softer and more apologetic. "i can get out of your hair, if you need some quiet. . ."

     NOELLE'S   BREATHS   COME   HARD   &   FAST,   near-choking   in   a   strangled   throat.   she   is   a   deer,   flighty   by   nature,   separated   from   a   so-to-speak   herd,   and   being   jumped   at   from   within   an   alleyway   had   set   her   heart   racing   in   milliseconds.   it   throbs   with   reckless   abandon   against   the   front   and   back   of   her   ribcage.   noelle   had   not   done   much   fighting,   as   it   were,   and   she   does   not   remember   what   little   magic   she   did   throw   their   way   before   hiding   behind   a   corner   to   hyperventilate,   thinking   about   the   miserable   turn   of   fate   that   had   gotten   her   and   kanako   separated   in   the   thick   of   the   cyber-city. 

     it   has   done   little   to   subside.   now,   soft   hands   are   curling   around   her   cloven   fingers,   and   noelle   jerks   her   gaze   upwards,   following   a   shaky   line   up.   .   .   up   familiar   sleeves,   towards   a   face   that   she.   .   .   oh,   kanako.   noelle   realizes   that   she   is   on   the   ground   ;   slowly,   deer-monster   stands,   tail   still   on   high   alert   as   she   glances,   inch   by   inch,   around   the   corner.      they   are   alone.   noelle   exhales   a   full-body   sigh   of   relief.    “   kanako,   ”    she   breathes,   eyes   already   starting   to   water.    “   you   found   me.   i'm   sorry,   i   –   i   was   looking   for   you.   .   .   ”

TO  BE  HONEST  ,  IT  WASN'T  THAT  BAD  .  At  least  not  to  Kanako  -  getting  separated  from  Noelle  wasn't  ideal,  no,  but  Kanako  can  hold  her  own,  and  Noelle  disappeared  so  fast  that  she  didn't  have  time  to  worry  about  her.  Kanako  had  sent  her  enemy  running  with  burnt  tail  between  their  legs,  gait  stiff  and  uneven  from  the  magic  that  still  locked  around  its  paws.  She  hadn't  done  the  damage  to  scare  it  off,  really,  just  to  warn  it  -  and  when  she'd  told  it  to  leave,  that  she  didn't  want  any  more  trouble,  it  did  so  with  a  meek  apology  for  attacking  her  in  the  first  place.

It's  kind  of  fun,  to  feel  so  scary.  Or  at  least  respected.  But  Kanako  doesn't  dwell  on  that,  because  Noelle  is  missing,  and  she  would  be  a  terrible  friend  if  she  let  Noelle  stay  lost  in  the  city  by  herself.  She  follows  the  faint  smell  of  peppermint  and  fear,  and  by  the  time  she  finds  Noelle,  the  other  girl  is  still  freaking  out,  even  without  any  enemies  surrounding  them.

So  Kanako  rushes  forward  and  kneels  in  front  of  her,  taking  her  hands  into  warm  paws.  “Hey,  it's  okay!”  She  leans  in  to  press  her  nose  to  Noelle's.  “It's  okay,  really,  I  promise!”  Preening  a  little,  she  flicks  an  ear,  grinning  a  toothy  little  grin  in  hopes  of  making  Noelle  smile.  “I  sent  that  Tasque  running.”

She  helps  Noelle  to  her  feet,  still  holding  onto  her  hands.  “Yeesh,  everything's  going  crazy.  I,  um,  sorry  I  didn't  stay  with  you.”

.  .  .

Oh.  Kanako  is  still  holding  her  hands.  She  lets  go  a  little  abruptly,  the  tips  of  her  ears  warming  as  she  flicks  them  backwards,  tail  swishing  behind  her  a  little  sheepish.  “I,  uh,  we  should!  Get  going!  Right?”

I always kinda avoided her because her design intimidated me hahah, i didnt understand it to the fullest, but shes adoreable! So heres my take on it

Although i think she should probably look a little softer than this, but still!

!!  "  NO  FAIR  !  "  Kanako  takes  off  after  Noelle  in  a  mad  dash,  but  the  simple  fact  of  the  matter  is  that  Noelle  is  fast.  On  the  track  team  and  everything!  Kanako  can  hardly  keep  up  -  but  a  challenge  is  a  challenge,  and  she  never  backs  down  from  one  of  those.

"You're  so  much  faster  than  me!"  She  cries  out  nonetheless,  legs  pumping  and  tail  sticking  out  straight  behind  her.  "Get  back  here!!"

*  I  know  Sofia  and  Sonya  are  pretty  similar,  but  to  be  tied  like  this?  Damn.  Doesn't  make  it  any  easier.

"I think they're both cute. What if you did it the Russian way and used Sonya as a nickname for Sofia!!"

*  Interesting  proposal.  We'll  give  it  until  tomorrow  to  see  if  one  pulls  ahead  of  the  other,  how  about  that?
