After a long day patrolling the the bloodwoods, with nothing to sink her sword into she really needed a drink, and a strong one at that. Finding a spare seat at the bar she took a seat, she had barely sat down before she heard someone close by speak.
Unsheathing a dagger from her leg and threw it, missing the bartenders ear by a fraction, she wasn’t in the waiting mood. Lucky for him Solaris wasn’t one to miss.
“Hey shit for brains, fill his glass and then mine, or else the next one goes in your crutch.”
Solaris had honestly never seen someone move quicker in her life, as she grasped her cup full of amber liquid she nodded in Ten’s direction.
“You’re welcome.”
An amused grin formed on Ten’s lips as he watched Solaris take out her dagger and throw it towards the bartender. He ran his tongue over his bottom lip, a chuckle escaping him as he leaned back in his chair. He raised an eyebrow at the bartender, watching as the man quickly began waiting on them and not other people in the tavern. “Thank you.” Ten nodded as he grabbed his glass that was filled to the brim, tipping it towards his lips and taking a long gulp. “You really have a way with words.” He winked at her.
i tenaya ‘ten’ conrad am an outlander, i left tera because i do not trust them, i am a thirty year old cis male. i know i’m observant & independent, but i can also be merciless & impulsive. i am a rogue & hacker. my stance on the council is against.
There once was a time when ten’s life was simpler and more concrete. he grew up in poverty but his parents always made sure that they had food, water, and shelter. he appreciated everything they did for him and from a young age, he wanted to prove his worth in the family. this led him to the streets, learning how to pick pocket and steal from wealthier people than himself and his family; and that was pretty much everyone. Not only that, but the boy learned how to hack from a young age and as he grew older, his skills and talent only grew with him.
He brought home every cent he took and while his mother scolded him every time, she took what he brought and used it to better the family. there were numerous times where he had been arrested for his crimes but no stent in jail would change the way he viewed the world. the rich only got richer while the poor fought to survive.
Ten grew up in a household that almost idolized the Orion Syndicate. his parents always talked highly of them and taught him to view them as the same. however, when some of the members began turning up dead, his parents grew scared and worried but more than that -- they grew angry. they, along with others, began protesting and choosing to speak against those that were rising to try to take over. Ten even using his hacking skills to try to prove that something was going on; that it was more than just random deaths.
While his skills led him to discover information that he never thought could be possible, but that information also led to his parents’ death. Ten managed to escape death, only to be one of the winning members that were to join the arc. he wasn’t quite sure how he felt about it at the time, besides the fact that he was still raging from his parents’ deaths.
All of this no longer matters, though, considering the fact that he cannot remember any of it. his parents were wiped from his memory, along with the information he found when he hacked servers just before their deaths.
Ten never felt comfortable in Tera, and the Council and their views never settled well with him either, which is why he chose to leave. It was more of a gut feeling than anything; he didn’t trust anything they said. he is currently a rogue who also offers his hacker abilities on the side, for a price.
personality && more;
ten is a loner. he can’t remember the last time he genuinely felt like he could count on someone. his skills as a hacker, so far, have been unmatched. he knows he’s good at what he does, which is why he asks for such hefty prices at times. he believes he’s an orphan and chooses to not think too hard about it. His impulsivity tends to get him in trouble and if someone gets on his bad side, he never shows mercy.
he never gives out his full name. he’s a vegetarian. he’s blunt and at times, cold hearted. he has a dark sense of humor. he is apathetic and rarely thinks of others when he speaks or does things.
wanted connections
repeated customer - you always need his hacking skills; whether it’s because you need information on your enemy or you’d like to know what someone is doing at all times. you call ten for the job because you know he can get the job done.
he’s just not that friendly to you - someone that wants to be his friend, that’s tried so hard to get close to him, but has yet to break down any of his walls, let alone make a dent in it. they aren’t giving up, even if he makes being around him extremely difficult.
past “fling” - ten does not do relationships. in fact, he rarely sleeps with the same person twice. however, this person he did, but with extreme lack of emotions on his end.
apprentice - you want to learn how to hack and so you go to the one guy you know who can hack just about anything. ten, at first, says no, but you manage to convince him after so many days/weeks/months. you’d like to think that he enjoys teaching you, but you just can’t seem to figure out what he’s truly thinking.
go away, terran - recently, ten has grown to hate those that chose to stay in Tera. with this person, it’s no different. he can’t stand being around them and tends to argue with them every single time he lays eyes on them. that, or he purposefully gets under their skin.
can i count on you? - ten wants desperately to be able to be open with this person. he sees something in them that he thinks he could manage to like and potentially care for; whether that’s as a friend or something else entirely. but as hard as he tries to change the way he acts, it’s much harder than anticipated. his reinforced walls are too hard for even him to break down at times. sometimes, though, he finds solace when just sitting with this person, without talking. whether they feel the same with him though, is something else entirely.
@terastart
where: arcadia, tavern. all outlanders
Ten licked his lips as his nails tapped against the thick glass that sat in front of him. The cup was empty and he had been waiting for at least ten minutes for the bartender to venture his way. Ten was growing awfully impatient, his eyes darting between the other customers in the tavern and the bartenders that were serving them.
He let out a low hum as he watched more people enter the tavern and sit near him. “Don’t think about ordering anything next.” His voice was stern; it was close to a sneer. “I’ve been waiting for a refill for way too long. You can wait too.” Ten said as he wrapped his fingers around the empty glass and slid it down towards the bartender to try to get their attention.
