Home is where the Evil stay
Viktor left that night without telling Cain or his daughter. His personal helicopter flew off of his premises about ten minutes after Cain took his daughter away into their room. Viktor had two men with him in the helicopter besides the pilot. One was wearing a new brand of bullet proof vesting and wore war paint. The other wore glasses and had a machine in his hand that continued to blink every three seconds.
----
It had been almost three days since I last saw John. He told me to stay put in a barn while he went up ahead, and I hadn't seen him since. A day passed before the farmer that owned the barn found me. He and his wife were very kind and moved me into their home. They spoke to me in Russian, and since I barely knew the language, we did have a language barrier. It didn't stop us however from getting small points together.
Evening had set in and I was outside, somewhat deep in a field about two miles away from the farm house. I was looking up at the sky when all of a sudden a small light in my wrist caught my eye. It was faint, but I did notice it. I squinted my eyes as I pulled my wrist closer to me. I looked at it, squinting my eyes ever so close when I heard the brush behind me move.
I turned around and instantly found myself on my feet. A man stood in front of me. He was silent. "Who-- Who are you?" I asked unsure if he was an Allie or Foe. He still said nothing. I started to back up slightly and he moved forward.Â
"Please.. Just.. Just go away. I don't have anything to offer you." My voice shaking. I turned around and looked up and jumped backwards. He was in front of me as I turned around. That's not possible... it's not.. not unless.. "You're a mutant".
His eyes stayed dead locked on mine. I turned when I heard the other steps from behind and it seemed as though all the air in my body slipped away.
"Hello... Annabelle." I took a step back as the man took one forward. I was trapped it seemed. "Vik---Viktor.." I gulped. His face stayed in one emotion. There was no smile, no emotion anymore in the man that stood before me.
"What have I done. Hm?" He began to ask. "What have I done that makes you want to escape so badly from a place that keeps you safe? Have I not everything you wanted? Have I not taken care of you?"
.."Yes.. bu--.."
"Have I not spared your life multiple times when you've killed my men? Have I not shown you mercy and love? I've treated you like you were my own daughter. That's more than your real father can say. Where is he now? No where to be found again. He takes you from me, and abandons you."
I shook my head slightly. My own father? I'm just waiting for.. I looked up at him, my eyebrow raised, "John?" I whispered. "He.. he isn't my.." Viktor began to nod his head as I fell to the ground with a thud. I was in disbelief. I felt a warm sensation run through my body as a blue flame began to appear all around me. The tears fell silently.
"It's time to come home with me Belle. I'm willing to adopt you, make you my second daughter. Take care of you. I'm willing to allow you to leave, under guard, and go into the town. That is how much I'm willing to change just for you." A small smirk appeared on his face.
The Belle on the ground looked up and stood slowly. "I believe that would be an excellent idea... if I were Belle." The Belle in front of them began to change and a young man appeared. "I'm Apollo, a shape shifter."
Viktor took a step back clearly in rage. "Before you loose your nuts Russian, the tracking device you planted in her twice were found." He reached in his pocket for a second and then threw both of them at Viktor's feet. "She's long gone and off the radar my main man. Now you are too."
The young mutant without missing a beat pulled out a grenade, pulled the pin, and threw it at his feet. He ducked down as the explosion went off and threw Viktor and his men backwards. Viktor became seriously injured and when his men got back to him, the shape shifter was gone. They picked Viktor up and placed him back into the chopper taking him straight home to his fortress.Â
