everything went well on the first day of the lifesteal meetup. everyone came to the designated meetup spot, somehow lost pangi and derap on the way to the airbnb (how did they lose derap with ugly ass bright green and blue hair brah wtf), found them in an alley, successfully got to the airbnb without any more incidents, and got everyone assigned roommates because there actually wasn't enough rooms for every member to have their own.
yada yada yada yada exposition lore whatever- wemmbu wasn't paying attention. what he knew was that he shared a room with minute.
y'know, minute, the guy he had a mildly- actually it wasn't mild at all- homoerotic relationship with online. viewers noticed it, other youtubers noticed it- but wemmbu will never acknowledge it. it would make the shippers worse-he didn't mind that part-, but then minute would know- and that was possibly worse.
whatever, he could be normal for this trip. it's fine. he'll be fine. they'll be fine.
except he couldn't because there was only a singular bed in the room. at first, they'd both thought it was a mistake that they had just one. it wasn't, as they could figure out from the suspicious glances zam and mapicc gave each other.
"i could sleep on the couch- or floor." minute offered before wemmbu cut him off with a shake of his head.
"i literally sleep like a baby anywhere- and you already have a shitty sleep schedule as in, you don't need bad sleep either." he said, rummaging through his bag aimlessly as to not look at his new roommate.
minute sighed, setting his bag against one of the bed's posts. "we could share it.." he suggested, voice nervous as if he knew how insane he sounded. "l- like, just for the night, y'know?"
wemmbu felt his face heat up, a familiar ache making its home in his chest. "um, yeah. sure," he agreed without much thought or resistance.
"good." minute cleared his throat, raising his hand to cover his face. "i'm.. gonna go change for bed."
the other nodded, allowing himself to relax as he waited for minute. yada yada, sorry im not writing allat i have a massive deadline chat đđ.
anyways, as they settled into the bed, they were only just now realizing how... small the bed was. things would be... awkward, huh.
"hey, um..." wemmbu looked away for a second. "y'know, no homo, right?" he laughed as he curled into bed.
minute nodded, suppressing a tired chuckle as he laid next to wemmbu. "yeah. no homo." he parroted as he nonchalantly wrapped his arms around wemmbu's mid-section.

it was a casual lifesteal meetup, for some event that wemmbu hadn't cared to read the announcement about it. casual, if he may remind you, as he sits next to his best friend minutetech on the airbnb's couch.
minute was yapping about something. what about, wemmbu didn't know. not that he didn't care! but it was the way that minute's hair fell over his eyes as he spoke that hypnotized him. he could've been talking about the most important thing ever- like the cure for cancer or something!- and wemmbu wouldn't have been listening because he was too distracted by his damn eyes!
and- what makes it worse- is that minute's eyes are on him. not darting around the room, unlike the impression his online persona gives. no, they're solidly on him, like some freak brainwashing tactic! and if that was minute's goal, then it was working!
they're a deep brown, wemmbu notices. like the dirt after it rains. corny, maybe, but that's the closest comparison he can make right now. and it surprisingly works for who minute is as a person: strong, resistant, nurturing- maybe the eyes were the window to the soul.

wemmbu shook himself out of the trance when minute looked away, a loud laugh sounding from the door of the room. "god, can you guys be any less gay?" spoke says between laughs. he's holding his phone up and- oh god, he recorded that.
mapicc smacks him on the shoulder, shoving him out of the way. "well, we were going to tell you guys that we were heading out, but..." he trails off, looking between them. "we'll leave you alone from now on- come on spoke, let's leave the love birds to their... staring contest."
minute watches as they leave, putting his head in his hands with a groan. wemmbu looked back to him, once again entranced by him. god, he was hopeless..
a silence falls over them, and minute pulls his head out of his hands, instead running them through his hair. again again, his hair falls over his eyes, but also framing his face perfectly.
"they're worse in real life, i swear.." he almost laughs, shaking his head like a disappointed father. wemmbu nods his head in agreement, chuckling lightly.
minute's looking at him, deep brown eyes staring into his own blue ones. it put an ache in his heart. maybe he is in love with minute and actually that would be the worst case scenario ever, wemmbu can not be nonchalant about this right now.
the other quirks an eyebrow, head tilting slightly like he's a curious puppy. "so.." minute starts, leaning against the back of the couch with an arm draped behind wemmbu. "should we address what they were talking about..?"
his voice sounds like he thinks it's a joke, but his face says he thinks otherwise. wemmbu's not sure which to trust, and he almost wants to say that they shouldn't, that they should go back to the casual friendship they've always had. but he knowsthat's probably not good for either of them, if they don't at least talk about- or address, in minute's words- it.
"yeah.. we probably should.." he matches minute's tone, joking, but adds his own dramatic flair with a resigned sigh. he's not looking at him though, because he's sure he'd lose all comprehensible thought if he stared at minute for another second.
minute smiles, arm finally landing around wemmbu's shoulders. "i mean, if i can be honest for a second-" he looks at wemmbu, avoidant gaze and stiff posture for the shock of minute's sudden touch- "i've been thinking.. about us, together, for a while now."
wemmbu's sure his heart skipped multiple beats because what??? how long was 'a while'?? and how has minute been thinking about them- thinking about him?
it's almost like minute can see his thoughts, hear them, when he continues with a smirk. "you're a cool guy, y'know. you're fun to talk to, and i don't think we'd be friends for so long if i enjoy being with you." again, his eyes and lips contrast each other.
"i'd hope you liked me," wemmbu laughs. he spares a glance towards minute and immediately regrets his tone- he's staring at wemmbu with a gaze that could melt him.
"liking you is... an understatement." he says, smoothly, waving his hand in a circle. "i think you might be the only person i've let this close."
wemmbu's face heats up. that.. basically confirmed it. "soo... lovebirds, huh?" he said with a smirk as he referenced mapicc's earlier words.
a chuckle escapes minute's lips and wemmbu falls deeper into the rabbit hole. "if that's what you want. you think you can handle me?" he winks, leaning in.
"bro-!?" wemmbu shoves him away, laughing. the almost innuendo in minute's voice made his face heat up further. "i mean, i could probably handle you. i've had to deal with you for this long."
minute's eyes roll and those beautiful lips of his make contact with wemmbu's forehead. "whatever, dude. we'll just have to see."

"Dude, you're still working on that Unstable episode?" Minute laughed on the other side of the line.
Wemmbu rolled his eyes, stretching his arms over his head. He's been on a call with Minute for a few hours now, editing. Looking at the clock, it was way past the time he usually went to sleep- 11:37 at night. "Yeah bro! You know the fans eat this shit up." He said, saving his progress and- ultimately- closing his editing program with a yawn. "Like- dude, have you seen the views lately? We're popping off."
Minute's laughter slowed to a stop and he leaned forward, watching Wemmbu's Discord profile framed green as his mic picked up on his small, exhausted noises. "Are you actually that tired, dude?" Minute asked, hiding his concern with a soft laugh.
"Okay- it's not my fault I typically have an actual sleep schedule, bro." Wemmbu laughed, rubbing the sleep from his eyes with another yawn. "But- yeah, I might hop off here."
Minute nodded in understanding, even though his camera wasn't on for the other to see. "Yeah, that's cool, dude. Wouldn't want for you to pass out or anything just because you were editing a video," he joked.
Wemmbu's cursor hovered over the 'end call' button, "Alright- I'll talk to you tomorrow, Brandon. Love you." With that, he clicked the button, once again stretching his arms over his head as he got up from his chair.
Minute stared at his monitor, face flushing to an embarrassing scarlet. âDid Wemmbu really just say that!?â He stared at his DMs with him. Nothing important, mostly just talking about everything going on in Lifesteal right now- but Wemmbuâs words suddenly held a new meaning.. Maybe Minute shouldâve known all along?
He mindlessly tapped his keyboard, not putting enough force into it to make any text appear. Whatever he wrote, Wemmbu wouldnt see it until morning- so he had to make it meaningful, but easy to read, right?
Maybe he was overthinking this.. What if Wemmbu just said that and meant it platonically? What if it was just instinctual, in the same way youâd call a teacher âmomâ? What if Wemmbu said that as a way to fuck with his head?!
Minute shook his head. Nope, no more overthinking this.
Finally, he typed something in, immediately regretted it, thought âfuck itâ, typed it back in and sent it.

Wemmbuâs alarm blared true in his ear, to which he immediately shut it off. It was around the same time heâd normally wake up- 6:30 am. Considering the fact he stayed up really late, he was still kind of tired, but he still went on with his daily routine: shower, brush teeth, change, yada yada yada- thatâs not important.
What is important, was the notification he got from Discord. Yeah, most were random nonsense from the Unstable Universe and Lifesteal servers- which, Wemmbu gave a small laugh to. No. What was intriguing was the fact that Minute had DMâd last night- probably before he fell asleep.Curiously, he opened it.It wasnât anything special.
Wait- nope- it was actually really really special.
