      "No, he's not," Isaac said, shaking his head. "You know the old story about Castor and Pollux? Me and Maddie, we're kinda like that." He couldn't stop the quiet laugh that bubbled forth at Bianca's last comment, though. "If I tell them that, it'll just make them want to try even more."

Caroline raised an eyebrow “He will?” She laughed “Well, at least we know he won’t step out of line whilst you stay with me” She wasn’t really that scary, although she could be. With a shrug she simply replied “Well, I used to do things like that with my friends Elena and Bonnie all the time…but we hardly ever hang out anymore”

      Maddie nodded. "The guy's scared of anyone with two X chromosomes. It's kinda cute, really." She didn't mention that Isaac wasn't all that likely to step out of line, anyway. Out of the two of them, she'd always been the troublemaker, instead of him. She liked to think she'd curbed her old habits, but part of her was sure it was just wishful thinking. "Did something happen?" she asked, looking at Caroline with something that could almost be called sympathy. Truth be told, Maddie rarely showed sympathy towards anyone, but she remembered what it had been like when they lived in Georgia and she'd decided to tell her friends about the whole 'psychic' thing, and she couldn't help wondering if something similar had happened to Caroline.
