❝ A puppet queen would be a better explanation than incompetence but then I couldn’t honestly say, ❞ he sighed. He was growing rather tired of this. They say blood for blood yet he has heard of some of the things that have went on here without much as an investigation from them. At least there would be investigations on the Shadowhunter’s side. Was it just against the Fae and the wildlife? If so then how are they any better than the shadowhunters? ❝ That’s a good idea, ❞ there were plenty of casters here that could help maybe. It was worth a shot anyway. He could seek maybe Darcy on this one since she managed to summon Seo-Yeon before. So would perhaps know how to bind her. If that fails it might need a combination of her and Astra. As she gave him a peck on the lips he smiled after gazing in to her eyes with adoration. ❝ I am here for you for better or worse, ❞ though they were not monogamous he did deeply care for Seo-Yeon.

“It  would,  but  to  be  honest  either  way  the  outcome  is  beyond  her,  but  she  is  still  involved.  I  think  I  still  want  to  go  with  my  original  plan  to  kidnap  her  to  get  information.  This  time  for  myself.  Problem  is  she  always  has  some  kind  of  entourage  following  her.  I’m  war  not  someone  who  can  easily  stealth  her  way  into  kidnapping  a  queen.  I  make  things  explode  and  fights  break  out,  but  I  can’t  sit  idly  for  much  longer.  I’ll  try  the  warlock  tactic  and  if  that’s  a  dead  end  perhaps  go  back  to  the  original  plan,”  she  finally  confessed  about  her  original  plan  and  she  wondered  how  Young  would  take  that.  This  was  personal.  A  colleague  down  and  the  rings  missing.  She  was  the  only  horseman  here  so  she  needed  to  get  something  done.  “Well  from  the  looks  of  things  it’s  going  to  get  worse.  At  least  it  won’t  be  dull  anymore,”  she  scoffed.  “But  at  least  you’re  with  me  nae  sarang,”  she  replied  back.

HOW  WAS  SHE  SUPPOSED TO  CONFESS  when  she  did  not  remember  anything  at  all  ?  it  was  all  blank  -  one  second  she  spoke  to  gabriella  and  in  the  next  she  stood  by  the  horseman’s side  .  the  things  that  happened  in  between  those  moments  were  gone  and  olivia could  only  blame  the  alcohol on  it  ,  which  had  her  even  more  convinced that  she  didn’t  steal  the  ring  .  it  was  not  like  she  was  a  saint  ,  far  from  it  . the  hybrid  created her  fair  share  of  chaos  ,  but  she  would  never  choose to  do  something  like  this  .  take  a  ring  and  let  herself  be  seen  . her  breathing  hitched the  moment  the  blade  pressed into  her  skin  ,  not  just  against  it  .  the  sword  itself  felt  cold  as  ice  ,  but  the  blood  that  started  to  flow  down  her  chest  was  burning hot  -  just  like  the  pain  that  coursed  through her  body  ,  but  olivia refused  to  scream  .  most  supernatural  beings thrived  on  it  and  if  this  was  the  end  of  her  chapter  ,  she  would  not  give  her  that  satisfaction  .  the  only  thing  that  came  from  her  lips  was  a  small  whimper  of  agony  ,  followed  by  raspier  breaths as  she  looked at  the  horseman .  ❛  i  …  don’t  know  .  ❜  and  she  was  wasting  the  time  .  whoever  had  her  ring  ,  they  probably  left  the  castle by  now  .

The  girl  was  stubborn,  stupidly  so.  Seo-Yeon  was  getting  tired  of  the  act  as  well.  The  girl  was  giving  her  nothing  at  all  and  just  limiting  her  words  which  only  made  her  more  suspicious  of  her.  There  was  no  begging  or  bargaining  just  ‘I  don’t  know’.  Three  very  easy  words  to  say.  As  if  that  would  absolve  her  from  anything.  That  wouldn’t  fly  in  a  court  of  law.  Even  if  she  didn’t  have  it  on  her  she  was  part  of  this.  So  she  had  to  show  her  co-conspirator  she  was  not  willing  to  just  let  her  ring  be  taken  without  nothing  happening.  She  stepped  back  and  this  time  did  a  few  shallower  cuts in quick  sucession.  Flicking  the  blade  at  the  end.  “Are  you  going  to  keep  with  I  don’t  know?”  She  asked.  Perhaps  she  may  elaborate  further  on  the  I  don’t  know.  Shame  she  couldn’t  access  her  memories  and  see  for  herself  what  happened.

Lavinia !!

 The  confirmation  thrilled  lavinia. It  thrilled  and  excited  her  so  much,  she  had  difficulties  trying  to  keep  her  cool  and  keep  this  little  game  going  —  oh,  she  really  wanted  to  see  how  far  this  could  go. Her  teeth  raked  along  her  bottom  lip  for  a  moment  while  she  listened  to  war’s  words,  her  voice  —  soothing,  and  yet,  dangerous  and  intoxicating.   Whoever  said  that  the  siren  song  was  seductive  never  found  themselves  in  the  presence  of  true  power. Now  that,  sent  shivers  through  her  spine,  able  to  feel  every  single  moment  of  the  other  woman  moving  closer,  until  their  lips  finally  collided. Lavinia  was  easily  putty  in  her  hands,  sighing  into  the  others  mouth  as  if  a  long  waited  desire  had  been  waiting  to  be  finally  stilled. She  reflected  to  the  kiss  with  hunger  and  need,  her  arms  pulling  the  other  closer  so  she  could  close  the  little  bit  of  distance  left  between  them.

War  fuelled  some  of  her  anger  she  had  been  feeling  into  passion.  The  siren’s  hunger  and  desire  was  palpable.  After  a  few  moments  she  broke  the  kiss  and  hovered.  Her  dark  eyes  admiring  the  siren’s  from  up  close  and  smiled.  “Let’s  slip  into  something  a  little  more  comfortable,”  she  purred  as  the  surrounding  quickly  changed  to  her  bedroom.  “As  much  as  I  enjoy  a  good  nature  fuck,  I’ve  grown  to  enjoy  something  more  comfy.  Though  if  you  prefer  something  more  nature  oriented…”  she  changed  the  surroundings  but  kept  the  bed  into  a  different  type  of  forest.  A  more  tropical  one.  She  loved  using  her  powers  during  sex.  Makes  the  mood  more  fun  and  without  picking  off  leaves  and  any  other  things  around  there.  Why  have  power  if  you  don’t  use  it.

— “ good. we’ll figure something out. ” she said. “ estela… the rosário girl ? ” dagon asked. well, it was good that she hadn’t just suggested estela as someone to mess with, then. if she’d known, though, she wouldn’t have suggested her at all, since if war cared about her, she couldn’t be all that bad. “ if it comes down to it, i will protect the shadowhunter. i’m already about to have a mundane, so it won’t hurt to add her to the list. ” dagon offered. she shrugged, “ unless they thought we’d disagree enough with their methods to refuse to help, ” she replied. “ but that’s probably true. ” she sighed. “ perhaps. but this seems a lot, just for the sake of it. ” 

“I  know.  If  I  have  to  get  destructive  about  this  I  will,”  which  would  not  be  a  welcomed  move  but  she  was  not  a  fan  of  being  in  the  dark.  Who  was  holding  the  strings  here  and  why  are  they  in  the  dark?  What  can  they  achieve  from  all  of  this?  Ah  of  course  with  no  death  means  no  transitions.  Which  meant  Luna  herself  would  be  vulnerable.  “It’s  more  to  keep  an  eye  on  me,  she  has  some  friends  and  I  would  hope  the  shadowhunters  may  keep  a  close  eye  out  on  their  own,”  though  she  wasn’t  aware  of  what  the  inquisitors  plans  might  be  after  the  attack.  “I  am  not  a  stranger  to  unsavoury  methods  in  the  past,  I  am  a  bringer  of  war  no  matter  the  motivation  behind  it,”  because  her  final  goal  along  with  the  rest  of  her  kind  was  to  help  bring  in  the  apocalypse.  She  did  prefer  working  with  those  that  had  more  noble  intentions  about  war,  but  those  were  very  rare.  Which  she  wasn’t  doing  much  of  here  and  getting  a  bit  annoyed  that  someone  was  showing  off  that  they  think  they  can  do  a  better  job.  a  war  that  was  sparked  without  her  influence  while  she  wasn't  there  and  no  death.  Well  at  least  they  had  reapers  out  there  but  would  death's  death  affect  out  there?  “I  would  much  rather  find  out  the  answers  sooner  rather  than  later  but  who  ever  is  dictating  this  is  annoyingly  staying  quiet  right  now."

SHE  WAS  NOT  PLAYING DUMB  and  olivia did  not  have  a  death  wish  either .  she  didn’t know  where  that  stupid  ring  was  ,  at  least  not  consciously  .  ❛  why  are  you  asking  me  ?  i  don’t  know  anything  .  i  didn’t  see  anyone  suspicious either  -  but  we  were  in  a  crowded room  .  ❜  it  was  not  difficult  to  hide  suspicious activity  when  so  many  people surrounded  them  .  the  cold  blade  sent  a  shiver down  her  spine  ,  but  the  hybrid tried  not  to  flinch  ,  allowing  her  magic  to  test  the  invisible  forces that  held  her  in  place  instead  .  the  horseman’s powers  were  strong  ,  even  without  her  precious  ring  and  her  nails  dug  into  her  palms  ,  another  attempt to  keep  quiet  as  the  other  pressed the  blade  into  her  skin  .  ❛  i  don’t  know  .  ❜  and  fuck  ,  she  should not  sound  so  god  damn  angry  .  it  only  made  things look  more  suspicious on  her  end  ,  but  it  was  hard  to  be  calm  when  war  itself  made  it  impossible for  her  to  escape  .

This  was  getting  nowhere  and  the  hybrid  was  adamant  she  didn’t  know.  She  gave  her  ample  opportunity  to  confess  so  it  wasn’t  as  if  she  didn’t  have  the  grounds  to  act.  Her  ring  disappeared  the  moment  the  girl  was  by  her  side.  Seo-Yeon  was  only  with  the  two  Fae  and  they  were  members  of  the  court  who  cared  little  in  the  ways  of  war.  It  had  to  be  the  hybrid.  “Well  then  I  did  warn  you  this  would  hurt,”  she  replied  coldly  as  she  dragged  the  sword  against  her  chest.  A  clean,  not  yet  lethal  cut  that  would  certainly  be  painful.  “Does  this  jog  any  memories?”  She  asked.  “Or  should  I  try  a  few  more  cuts?”  She  asked.

SHE  WAS  CORRECT  ,  most  of  them  wanted  to  get  out  of  here  and  regain  their  freedom  and  while  he  knew  about  the  damage  that  could  be  caused by  the  horsemen ,  most  of  them  weren’t that  bad  .  certain events  were  necessary  to  maintain the  balance  of  nature  and  ,  in  a  sense  ,  the  warlock  trusted  them  .  he  had  no  idea  who  stole  their  rings  ,  but  it  was  much  harder  to  trust  someone he  didn’t  even  know  ,  so  he  would  rather see  them  back  on  their  fingers  .  ❛  it’s  not  my  burden ,  no  …  and  yet  ,  we  are  all  a  part  of  it  ,  aren’t we  ?  ❜  and  they  couldn’t just  escape  it  or  turn  a  blind  eye  on  things  .  for  the  first  time  ,  they  were  forced  to  work  together  -  in  ways  many  of  them  never  even  thought possible  .  ❛  i  hope  layla  is  still  here  .  ❜  death  was  death  ,  but  the  former  reaper knew  how  to  handle  her  job  .  who  knew  what  would  happen  if  someone  else  took  her  place  ,  without  decades and  centuries  of  preparation  ?  a  sigh  fell  from  his  lips  ,  countless thoughts  threatening  to  distract  his  mind  ,  so  he  tried  his  hardest  to  focus  on  war  .  ❛  we  should start  with  your  suggestion  .  tracing  your  bond  .  if  that’s  not  working  ,  i  might  have  an  idea  or  two  .  ❜  but  her  plan  was  a  good  way  to  start  and  they  had  to  start  somewhere  ,  anyway  .

“When  it  comes  to  potential  consequences,  yes,  I  guess  we  all  are,”  the  rings  were  no  joke  and  someone  with  their  powers  at  their  beck  and  call  can  do  untold  chaos.  May  even  bring  down  the  realm  in  quick  succession  too.  The  horsemen  followed  the  nature  of  things  and  incited  what  was  already  there.  They  as  beings  would  enhance  the  sparks  that  needed  to  come  alight  to  further  Lucifer’s  goal  of  the  apocalypse.  This  was  to  be  a  natural  progression.  Seo-Yeon  did  want  war  here  but  only  because  there  was  a  spark  here  and  it  was  still  there  waiting  to  ignite.  However  this  was  far  more  important  to  her.  “I  hope  so  too.  I  really  hope  so,”  it  was  never  easy  losing  a  colleague  and  losing  another  Death?  Seo-Yeon  would  come  to  terms  with  it,  sure,  but  she  did  have  the  glimmer  of  hope  that  she  was  still  here.  She  watched  the  warlock  carefully.  The  sigh  he  gave  was  one  she  recognised  one  with  a  lot  of  concern  and  worries.  As  he  spoke  she  listened  and  nodded.  “Good,  I  put  myself  in  your  hands,”  she  shouldn’t  trust  just  anyone,  but  she  can  still  look  after  herself  and  Young  was  aware  of  her  plan.

As Seo-Yeon made herself comfortable Young  moved his arm she his hand laid on her head as his fingers gently stroked her hair. So Seo-Yeon saw that as well. It wasn’t just him. He did feel sorry for her about all of this. ❝ She might or she might be just as much of a hostage in this as all of us are, ❞ he sighed. Though would she say as much and is it because of her guards. Who actually knew and it’s not something they could exactly find out. Not easily since nobody can get an audience with her alone really. ❝ We will find the ring, even if you lose control we’ll find a way to keep you safe, ❞ he tried to sooth her. ❝ I can look into that, ❞ he suggested. Surely either Astra or Darcy know the means how or knows someone that does. ❝ No matter what happens I’ll be here for you, ❞ he added.

Seo-Yeon  looked  at  him  with  admiring  eyes.  She  didn’t  think  of  that.  “Did  she  seem  like  a  puppet  queen  when  you  last  met?”  She  asked.  She  knew  Young  had  met  with  her  it  was  one  of  the  reasons  she  never  told  him  of  her  plans.  She  still  had  the  motivation  for  them.  If  not  more  so.  However  if  she  was  just  as  much  of  a  hostage  trying  to  get  information  out  of  that  was  going  to  be  counter  productive.  But  she  could  be  putting  on  an  act.  She  couldn’t  ignore  that.  “Thank  you,  that  helps,”  though  they  are  going  to  have  to  act  quick.  “I’ll  seek  someone  about  maybe  tracing  the  ring  somehow,”  she  could  do  that  much.  A  high  warlock  may  be  able  to  help.  If  they  can’t  well  those  rings  are  not  going  to  be  easily  found.  “I  appreciate  that,”  she  smiled.  “I  really  do,”  and  she  put  her  hand  on  his  shoulder  and  pulled  her  self  up  for  a  peck  on  the  lips.

— dagon nodded sadly, “ i know. we’ll figure it out. are there failsafes we could put into place to protect you ? ” she asked. “ we can protect the people you care about, ” dagon added quietly. she knew there was risk they’d get hurt, but she thought she’d be strong enough to protect herself and others around her, if she needed to. hopefully they could get the rings back before it came down to it, though. she didn’t want to see seo-yeon lose herself to whatever being had decided to steal the rings. the demon nodded, when her friend mentioned a dictatorship power grab. that made sense. sort of. “ perhaps they simply intend to use us to get their power, with the hopes that we’ll eventually support their desires. ” 

“Young  is  looking  into  that  I  think.  Better  him  than  I.  He  has  the  patience  and  charm  for  it,”  she  wouldn’t.  Especially  not  with  all  this  stress  going  on  in  her  head.  “You,  Young  and  Estela  are  all  I  care  about,”  she  didn’t  have  the  same  attachment  to  the  other  princes  or  Lucifer.  She  liked  Lucifer,  but  she  knew  he  could  take  care  of  himself  against  her.  Dagon  could  as  well  they  were  not  a  demon  prince  for  nothing.  “If  they  had  the  same  desires  they  would  have  asked  us  directly  not  play  this  game.  At  least  it  would  be  smarter  doing  that  way.  However  it  could  be  someone  who  is  doing  this  for  the  sake  of  things,”  there  was  that  option  too.

her eyebrows raised when the other mentioned that she was happy to oblige. the familiar was always around for a good time. she enjoyed going out, partying, having fun like mundane’s did. she really thought that over the past century it has only gotten better. there was a squeal that left her as she mentioned not even needing a chaser. the other female seemed fun. energetic. she seemed to match her own energy in this situation. “okay!” she said with a giggle. “no chaser needed. just four back to back. it sounded like it would be fun either way. the brunette seemed fun. smirking as she mentioned saints and sinners she shrugged some. “my favorite person is an angel. he is a saint.” then again he was the only saint that she did know. “thank you!” she said doing a small spin when she called her gorgeous. “i think you’re fun. you seem fun.” she responded with another giggle. “tequila!” doing a little dance the familiar grinned. “that sounds good to me!” 

Seo-Yeon  chuckled  at  the  squeal.  The  girl  had  energy  she  would  give  her  that  much.  The  more  she  thought  about  nights  out  in  her  own  realm  it  did  strike  her  as  interesting  that  they  didn’t  have  a  nightclub.  Perhaps  something  she  could  stick  her  teeth  into  should  the  kidnapping  fail.  “Yes,  the  fun  way,”  the  burn  of  the  alcohol  was  all  part  of  the  fun.  “Mines  a  Vampire,  he’s  no  saint  but  a  good  guy,”  she  told  her.  Young  was  good,  but  he  wasn’t  the  boring  good.  He  loved  a  good  party  and  would  start  a  fight  if  he  needed  to.  “I  would  like  to  think  I  am,”  she  purred.  She  gave  her  own  little  squeal  as  the  red  head  agreed  to  tequila.  “Okay  so  one  after  the  other,”  she  repeated  reminding  herself  and  handed  the  fist  shot  to  Natalie.  “To  new  friends,”  she  called  out

At  the  further  explanation  her  eyes  widened  in  surprise.  “Wait  —  what?  War?  Is  that  your  name  or…  are  you  literally  one  of  the  horsemen?”  She  wondered,  she  didn’t  even  know  those  were  real.  But  then  again,  what  wasn’t?  Even  she  was  real.  And  yet,  Lavinia  found  herself  incredibly  impressed  by  that.  She  never  expected  to  just  run  into  the  horseman  of  war  —  and  yet,  here  she  was.  And  that  war  was  flirting  with  her,  pretty  obviously.  Not  a  problem,  at  all.  In  fact,  it  was  very  welcome.  Power,  for  some  reason,  had  her  intrigued  and  interested.  A  smile  grew  onto  her  features,  “Inspiration?  How  could  I  be  any  inspiring  for  you?”  She  chuckled,  getting  a  little  closer  to  the  other,  so  she  could  lower  her  voice  some.  “War,  has  anyone  told  you  yet  that  besides  being  stunning,  you  are  also  a  great  charmer  and  that  you  have  the  ability  to  make  even  the  very  stone  cold  Sirens  flush?  Now  you  know,”  

“The  horseman  in  the  flesh  yes,”  she  chuckled.  Though  not  as  powerful  as  she  should  be  but  then  that  was  something  for  her  to  worry  about  not  her  new  friend.  She  could  see  the  surprise  in  her  eyes  and  it  was  pretty  much  as  she  expected.  It  gave  her  a  small  amount  of  delight  which  reflected  in  her  eyes.  “Through  passion  I  usually  find  inspiration.  I’m  thinking  a  woman  such  as  yourself  is  more  than  ample  to  help  in  that  department,”  her  voice  was  low  and  notes  of  her  own  passion  laced  into  the  words.  War  smirked,  “You’re  the  first  siren  to  tell  me  that.”  Her  eyes  drank  in  her  looks.  The  siren’s  gorgeous  features  close  up  were  just  as  ethereal.  She  loved  the  looks  of  a  predator.  They  had  the  looks  that  drew  you  in  and  Seo-Yeon  loved  that.  She  then  moved  in  for  this  kiss  taking  control  as  she  always  does.  Slowly  amping  up  the  passion  as  her  hand  went  to  the  back  of  Lavinia’s  head.

HER  REQUEST DID  NOT  SURPRISE HIM  ,  it  made  perfect  sense  why  she  would  want  to  attempt  to  trace  her  ring  .  it  had  to  be  unsettling  to  know  that  it  was  gone  ,  potentially in  the  wrong  hands  .  ❛  that  won’t  be  easy  .  ❜  no  one  would  be  dumb  enough to  steal  a  horseman’s  ring  and  let  themselves  get  caught  ,  but  there  was  always the  chance  of  finding  a  loophole  .  the  warlock  hesitated for  a  moment before  he  finally gave  her  a  nod  of  his  head  .  ❛  i  can’t  make  any  promises .  whoever  pulled this  off  probably managed  to  kill  one  of  your  siblings ,  so  we  might  hit  dead  ends  ,  but  …  yeah  .  i  can  try  .  ❜  it  was  for  everyone’s  good  ,  after  all  .

Seo-Yeon  knew  it  wouldn’t  be.  The  rings  themselves  were  complex  artefacts.  Bound  to  their  constructs.  Controlled  them  and  enhanced  them.  “I  didn’t  think  it  would  be  but  sitting  by  idly  is  not  exactly  a  good  option  either  and  I  think  most  of  us  want  to  get  to  the  bottom  of  this,”  she  told  him.  She  wouldn’t  sit  by  idly  anyway.  She  would  try  and  look  by  herself  but  having  more  eyes  to  help  her  wasn’t  a  bad  thing.  “Not  expecting  you  to,  I  understand  this  is  not  your  burden  to  bare.”  She  told  him.  It  wasn’t  he  could  easily  walk  away.  “If  nobody  can  die  something  has  happened  to  death,  but  considering  even  souls  can’t  leave  for  any  other  realms  she  may  still  be  here.  That’s  a  theory  though.  The  last  death  did  die  and  only  they  understand  the  machinations  of  where  they  go  when  that  happens  if  their  soul  is  not  obliterated.  Just  like  I  understand  well  the  machinations  of  war,”  a  situation  like  this  hasn’t  ever  happened  to  her  so  it  wasn’t  like  she  had  anything  else  to  draw  on.  “Dead  ends  is  still  getting  somewhere,”  she  had  her  fair  share  of  those  in  her  lifetime.  She  was  glad  he  was  willing  though.  “Maybe  you  can  trace  my  bond  with  it.  At  least  if  you  can’t  feel  it  then  it  means  we  are  dealing  with  a  powerful  magic  user  or  someone  who. knows  one,”  she  suggested.  “Unless  you  have  any  other  ideas?”  She  asked.

“good! i don’t get to play this game often.” there was a giggle that passed her lips as she moved to stand next to her. her arm touching the other’s. “okay! so you take the first shot. second, third, fourth. just take them back to back. then if you want you to end with a chaser.” she explained to the other. even if it wasn’t much of a game at all. more just taking four shots back to back even if she liked to call it a game. popping up and down she could not help herself from grinning brightly in excitement. “nat.” the familiar repeated her own name only to laugh. “you think of me as a gorgeous saint? i can’t die. i’m not a saint.” then again natalie did not exactly know how you could become a saint. “stick with me and I will give you allllll the compliments!” which she did often. raising her hand in an attempt to get the bartender’s attention. “what type do you take straight?” 

Seo-Yeon  smiled  and  listened  as  the  familiar.  As  she  explained  the  game  it  definitely  just  sounded  like  taking  four  shots  back  to  back  but  she  was  all  for  that  as  well.  “When  it  comes  to  drinking  I  am  more  than  happy  to  oblige,”  she  told  her.  If  she  got  out  of  here  she  had  to  visit  Seoul  sometime  and  drag  Young  out.  She  craved  a  proper  night  out  with  more  mundane  music  on.  Though  the  classical  fae  music  was  ethereal  to  listen  to.  “No  need  for  a  chaser,”  she  replied  back  being  around  this  energy  made  her  more  energetic  herself.    “Saints  are  not  much  fun  anyway,  much  more  fun  to  be  a  sinner  I  think,”  she  laughed  “But  I  do  think  of  you  as  gorgeous,”  she  agreed.  “Oh  I  plan  to.  You’re  fun,”  she  agreed.  “Tequila  makes  a  good  night,  let’s  go  for  tequila,”  she  suggested.  “But  I  also  drink  Vodka  if  that  is  more  your  thing,”  she  added.

As she let it all out he stroked her hair keeping her close in his embrace. He would stay here with her for as long as she needed. Eventually it seemed like she got it all out and as she reached up to his cheek he looked down into her own dark eyes. He loved her for who she was. Her strengths and weaknesses. Just like she loved him for who he was. He nodded fondly as she replied to him and chuckled at the shirt comment. ❝ It’s not quite the good wet shirt look is it? ❞ he replied with a playful tone and followed along as she dragged him into the living room. As she let go of his hand he headed towards the bedroom to get another shirt. As he came out buttoning it up as he moved and moved on to the sofa with her. Moving into a position where she can comfortably cuddle up to him. ❝ What’s your thoughts on this? I get the distinct feeling it’s not the queen that’s the one pulling the strings. Unless you have caught something I haven’t, ❞ he started off.

Seo-Yeon  chuckled.  “Not  the  good  type  no,”  she  confessed  normally  she  would  follow  with  a  teasing  remark  but  she  was  just  deflated  by  it  all.  She  had  seen  in  her  dreams  plagued  by  anxiety  of  her  killing  him.  Tears  falling  down  her  eyes  as  she  did  so.  As  he  disappeared  she  started  blankly  at  the  coffee  table  the  release  of  emotions  was  draining  but  she  did  feel  better  for  it  now.  As  Young  walked  in  she  turned  her  head  softly  watching  him  admiring  the  way  his  features  were.  As  much  as  he  was  with  no  humanity  she  cared  so  much  more  for  this  side.  The  side  that  would  start  wars  for  a  reason  and  not  because  it  sounded  fun.  As  he  sat  down  she  shifted  on  to  his  lap  and  curled  into  him  a  bit  her  head  leaning  against  his  shoulder.  “It’s  not  the  Queen,”  she  agreed.  “Though  the  queen  may  have  some  more  answers  than  we  do.  Her  guards  have  access  to  where  the  murders  happened,”  she  commented.  “If  I  can  find  my  ring  maybe  we  can  get  some  answers  I  just  don’t  want  to  lose  control  of  myself.  Nobody  wants  that  and  I’m  afraid,”  she  told  him.

WAS  IT  SHEER  COINCIDENCE  ?  it  had  to  be  ,  right  ?  laura  would  remember  it  if  she  decided to  steal  a  horseman’s  ring  -  right  ?! her  lips  parted to  speak  ,  but  her  emerald  eyes  fell  to  the  sword  in  war’s  hands  and  in  the  next  moment ,  she  could  feel  the  force  that  pinned  her  right  into  place  .  it  was  more  than  enough  to  distract  her  ,  but  her  confusion  slowly turned  into  anger  .  ❛  i  don’t  have  a  death  wish  .  ❜  and  the  hybrid tried  to  struggle against  the  invisible energy  that  kept  her  from  moving  away  from  the  balcony  .  ❛  let  me  go  .  i  did  not  steal  your  ring  .  ❜  she  certainly didn’t  have  it  now  ,  or  else  it  would  be  much  easier to  get  this  over  with  .

She  was  still  playing  dumb.  War  was  too  pissed  to  really  consider  that  someone  could  have  had  another  part  in  this.  Her  ring  was  a  part  of  her  and  now  it  was  in  the  possession  of  this  stubborn  hybrid  or  whoever  she  orbbed  it  to.  She  would  not  allow  anyone  to  control  her  or  weaken  her.  “If  you  keep  playing  dumb  I  can  only  assume  you  do,”  she  told  her.  “Then  who  did?  You  were  by  my  side  when  It  happened  did  you  see  anyone  else?”  She  asked  her  blade  now  on  the  hybrids  skin  just  beneath  her  neck.  “I  suggest  you  answer  honestly  because  this  will  hurt,”  she  reminded  her  pushing  in  slightly  to  stimulate  the  pain  nerves.

— dagon nodded, turning to lead her towards the kitchen. she didn’t really understand why any of this happened. “ we’ll figure things out. ” dagon said softly, beginning to pour their drinks. “ we’ll get your ring back and figure out why everything is happening like this, ” she said. she held out a glass. she didn’t understand going straight for alicante. despite her distaste for most shadowhunters, she still felt bad for them. she couldn’t imagine not knowing the fates of those she cared for. “ it doesn’t make any sense. it… i’d thought the whole point of forcing us here and everything was because they wanted more equality… but how is this going to get anyone anything ? ” 

Seo-Yeon  nodded.  ”I  do  want  to  believe  we  will.  It’s  just  that  ring  can  make  me  do  anything.  I  know  I  am  in  control  of  myself  now  but  if  they  figure  out  how  to  use  it  then  I  will  lose  that  freewill  and  only  do  what  they  desire,”  she  sighed  sadly.  “So  for  now  it  only  feels  like  a  time  clock  getting  closer  to  the  time  where  I  may  lose  myself  and  maybe  even  hurt  those  I  genuinely  care  about,”  what  she  was  most  afraid  of  is  her  killing  Young,  Dagon  or  Estela  and  she  has  had  nightmares  about  it  recently.  Death  wasn’t  possible  but  if  someone  ascended  and  then  used  the  ring  against  her?  She  couldn’t  think  about  it.  She  didn’t  want  to  either.  “I  get  the  feeling  we  are  moving  towards  a  dictatorship  trying  a  power  grab.  I  could  be  wrong  though  because  even  then  it  doesn’t  make  sense.  As  if  powerful  beings  such  as  us  are  going  to  sit  by  and  watch  someone  take  power  from  us,”  she  shook  her  head.

Lavinia !!

“I’m Lavinia. It’s nice to meet you, Seo-Yeon,” she repeated her name slowly, careful not not mispronounce it. Making some free space on the  spot she was sitting on, waiting for the other to join her on the ground as she agreed to stay for a little bit. Lavinia shrugged at her question. “I don’t know… I just woke up here one day and apparently there is nothing I can do about it so… that’s what it is,” she explained. “Oh — or do you mean here… at this place near the lake?” A chuckle, “Just… trying to enjoy a few nice days before it gets really cold. What about you? How come you have nothing better to do than spending your time with me?”

“If  war  rolls  off  the  tongue  easier  I  go  by  that  as  well,”  she  commented.  Understanding  that  her  name’s  origin  was  not  always  so  easy  on  pronunciation.  Though  introducing  herself  as  war  sometimes  got  some  interesting  responses.  She  moved  over  and  sat  next  to  her  admiring  her  looks  as  she  spoke.  “I  mean  both  works  I  guess,”  she  replied  with  a  laugh  laced  in  her  words.  “Unfortunately  not.  I  guess  we  just  have  to  be  trapped  in  this  idyllic  landscape  of  hidden  intentions,”  she  shrugged.  It  was  a  pretty  prison  she  gave  it  that  much  and  though  she  complained  it  was  boring  before  it  certainly  wasn’t  now  and  not  in  a  good  way.  “Taking  my  mind  off  things  while  I  have  hit  a  roadblock,”  she  said  seriously  as  she  gazed  out  towards  the  lack  She  then  turned  to  her  new  friend.  “Someone  as  good  looking  as  yourself  is  a  welcome  distraction  and  might  even  get  some  inspiration  going,”  she  purred  her  dark  eyes  twinkling.

Hannah wasn’t so sure what she was doing here. After her death, memories had been flooding back to her, things she couldn’t even imagine possibly forgetting. Knowing now that she was a Whitelighter, the idea of having her memories tampered with seemed like a very real possibility. In fact, anything could be possible now. Life as she’d known it had been completely turned upside down. One minute, the girl had been at a club. One she’d frequented almost nightly for months at a time. The very next, the cocktail she’d consumed mixed with the drugs in her system had her dropping to the cold, stone floor. The woman didn’t remember much. A voice speaking to her as she was carried to an ambulance. The blue and red lights that flashed incessantly, somehow reminding her of Christmas decorations. The IV started in her arm, the chest compressions. All those things were hazy but real memories. And that was the last thing she remembered from her old life. 

Given a choice, of course, Hannah had picked to live. She hadn’t even listened to the stipulations before agreeing. And now her life, if she could call it that, was completely different. Her old life had died with her. Now she had a new purpose. One that she was quite unsure she could fulfill. With the chaos in the world around her something had pulled her into the Seelie realm and now it was up to her to navigate her way through it. She felt as if she’d been wandering lost in the woods for days. Hannah couldn’t remember the last time she’d seen another soul. Was this her version of hell? Had she been tricked? It’d be fair, she supposed. She paused when she saw someone standing a few feet away and approached cautiously. “Excuse me. Do you know where a girl can get a drink around here?”

Seo-Yeon  needed  fresh  air  after  everything  but  the  idea  of  fresh  air  is  always  so  much  more  romantic  than  the  actual.  He  dark  eyes  annoyed  that  she  even  dared  to  wear  heels  in  this  environment.  However  being  her  actual  height  was  something  she  didn’t  want.  She  had  gotten  in  far  enough  for  her  to  be  alone  at  least.  But  not  that  far  she  couldn’t  go  back  in  about  15  minutes  when  she  had  enough  of  being  one  with  nature  or  some  other  kind  of  bullshit  that  people  say  to  make  themselves  feel  better.  Being  one  with  nature  was  not  for  her.  She  would  have  started  a  small  fire  (nothing  that  would  cause  to  much  damage  just  a  small  one  to  watch  something  burn).  

Seo-Yeon  heard  a  voice  call  out  and  she  turned  round  and  a  smile  appeared  when  the  other  mentioned  a  bar.  Well  that  was  a  much  better  way  to  spend  time  yes.  “Oh  I  definitely  do.  Welcome  to  the  hellhole  that  is  the  seelie  realm,”  which  made  her  wonder  what  the  unseelie  realm  looked  like.  She  had  a  few  contacts  there  but  she  had  never  went  there  herself.  “How  long  have  you  been  wondering  in  there?”  she  asked.  Could  easily  be  weeks  to  even  months  or  so  she  heard.  “Let’s  get  out  of  here  anyway.  I  have  spent  enough  time  with  nature  to  last  me  a  good  while  and  I  can  only  imagine  the  same  for  yourself.  The  village  is  close  by,”  she  told  ther  other.  “I’m  Seo-Yeon,”  she  introduced.
