Date Gone Wrong Prompts

I got in a fist fight with the waiter who insulted you and now we are both banned from this restaurant.

First date ended up just being us taking care of a box of kittens I found on the way to your place.

You had an allergic reaction to your food during our date and had to go to the ER. I may or may have not cried over your safety.

We tried to prepare a romantic dinner together but we both suck at cooking and burn everything. So we ate ceral and watched shitty movies instead.

I’m on a really shitty blind date and you got fed up with the asshole I’m with so you dump water on their head and ask to take me on a better date. I totally accept 

It’s hard to take you on dates because you’re really cute and everyone notices this. So I’m stuck between “Yes acknowledge my cute lover!” and wanting to tell everyone who’s staring to fuck off.

You planned a picnic date but it’s ruined by fire ants and wasps attacking us. I’m quite sure we bonded while fighting off nature’s biggest mistakes.

Romantic walk on the beach is ruined when you and only you are attacked by crabs. I do nothing but laugh as you run away from the cast of crabs chasing you.

I didn’t know you had a fear of clowns so our date to the circus ends very, very badly.

I’m famous and our dates are pretty much always ruined by rude fans. How do you still want to be with me?

-Estas eran tus favoritas -Explicó, depositando con extremo cuidado las camelias de un suave tono rojizo sobre el regazo de su compañera. Esta solo sonrió con un brillo que no coincidía con el frágil cuerpo que debía estar en esa habitación de hospital, pasando las yemas de los dedos entre los coloreados pétalos. Tal vez la textura le ayudase a recordar.

-Son preciosas...esto...-Algo avergonzada, la sonrisa de la muchacha disminuyó, pasando de mirarle a evitar levantar la vista de las flores y el contraste de su color contra la manta. Sus memorias seguían estando bloqueadas, si alguna vez esa planta había tenido un significado especial, ahora le resultaba indiferente.

-Giris.

Por su propia expresión, nadie podría adivinar la impotencia que sentía. Tenía que conseguir que Meia recordase cuanto antes.

Sacó las doce cartas que había recibido cada mes hasta el día de hoy, enseñándole como las había guardado todas de verdad, a pesar de no saber el remitente ni que quería de él, no se había visto con corazón para tirarlas. La figura de Yuuichi, ahora recortada por el sol del atardecer, le parecía más cercana ahora que cuando la correspondencia había empezado a llegar.

-Ya veo...Me alegra saberlo -Sonrió, de esa forma que solo él sabía y era capaz de hacer revolotear mil mariposas en su estómago.

Sin previo aviso, dejó escapar la barandilla que lo había mantenido sujeto, cayendo irremediablemente al vacío.

Taiyou ni siquiera intentó detenerle y, ni triste ni frustrado, simplemente se giró para salir de la azotea. Ya había tenido tiempo para llorar.

Kaito siempre había sentido una atracción por los adornos. Recordaba con una sonrisa su juventud (no), como se decoraba el cabello con plumas que su madre había comprado como regalo de cumpleaños. No le habían gustado especialmente, pero no era tan mal hijo como para no darles uso, así que en poco tiempo se convirtieron en algo con lo que incluso dormía. Kaito nunca se imaginó sintiéndose traicionado por un accesorio.

-¿Qué es eso? -Preguntó con todo el veneno que fue capaz. Tal vez había bebido algo, pero no estaba todavía lo bastante borracho como para no reconocer el objeto delante suya. Solo le costaba enfocarlo.

Gendou suspiró, abriendo la caja de terciopelo y mostrando el anillo más bonito que Kaito había visto en su vida, con una capa de oro blanco y al menos una docena de minúsculos diamantes adornando de forma bastante llamativa. Precioso. Y caro, muy caro, de eso estaba seguro. De un manotazo, hizo caer la caja al suelo, saliendo el anillo de su estuche y rodando hasta debajo de un mueble. En ese momento le daba igual lo que le pasase al dichoso anillo o al dichoso estuche, se podían ir los dos al infierno por lo que le importaba.

-Vete -Siseó, levantándose para poder, por una vez, disfrutar de mirar por encima a...a ese. A veces pensaba que Gendou era una persona decente, después de todo lidiaba con él casi a diario, era inmune a sus pullas y no daba mucho la lata. A veces hasta lo quería. Por supuesto el niño de papá tenía que venir y restregarle por la cara su dinero, estropear cualquier tipo de cariño que pudiese sentir hacia él. Casi parecía ser un hobby.

Gendou no dijo nada al irse, simplemente se levantó y se fue, ni siquiera una queja por su comportamiento. Sin duda se metía con él, esperaba esa reacción por su parte. Chasqueando la lengua, se dejó caer sobre la cama, mirando a su alrededor durante unos segundos antes de cerrar los ojos con fuerza. Gendou no encajaba en su apartamento, pequeño y con humedades, con grietas en la pared y vecinos ruidosos en casi todas las plantas, donde lo que más se comía eran sobras o alimentos precocinados, lejos de ser capaces de satisfacer a un paladar hecho a los manjares más exquisitos. Gendou encajaba en un palacio y Kaito estaba bien con un apartamento cochambroso.

Estaría mintiendo si dijese que no había pensado en la escena en esos días, repitiendo cada detalle que el alcohol no se había encargado de difuminar (que no eran muchos, aunque ni estando sobrio se habría fijado en cosas como la posición de Gendou o el brillo en sus ojos) y preguntándose por qué Dios disfrutaba tanto castigándole de esa forma, no era tan mala persona. En un intento por ocupar su mente, Kaito había comenzado a hacer la tareas que llevaban tanto tiempo aparcadas. La colada se estaba amontonando y hacía tiempo que no barría el suelo o recogía un poco, no estaba huyendo de sus problemas, solo estaba adecentando su apartamento. Nada más empezar a barrer, se arrepintió de haber cogido la escoba.

Chasqueó la lengua en cuanto vio brillar el anillo, sacado por fin tras unos días debajo del mueble, resplandeciendo a pesar de la poca luz de la habitación. Era más bonito ahora que antes y eso hacía que las ganas de hacer desaparecer el anillo aumentasen. Dudaba que con su sueldo fuese capaz de comprar algo similar, los lujos no solían estar a su alcance y su orgullo le impedía mendigar por los que su pareja (o amigo, lo que sea) podía proporcionarle. Tras otro chasqueo de lengua, cogió el teléfono, en los mensajes recientes seguía apareciendo su nombre, como si su teléfono quisiese restregarle lo solo que estaba. A veces Kaito quería llamar a Dios y preguntarle qué había hecho para merecer ese castigo.

No tenía que decir que estación era, seguro que lo sabía, siempre era el mismo lugar. Tampoco era necesario que le dijese si tenía tiempo libre, sabía de sobra su horario.

Llegar tarde por cortesía, era un arte y Kaito siempre había sido un amante de las artes, así que hasta unos diez minutos más tarde ni siquiera se digno en aparecer. También era un castigo, castigo por hacerle esa broma tan pesada, por haber hecho que se plantease si quería estar con él para siempre, ¿Cómo sería su vida? ¿Serían felices? Hambre sin duda no iba a pasar.

-Eh -Ni siquiera un saludo, era suficiente para capturar la atención del moreno y eso a él le bastaba, ¿Se había hecho él también preguntas similares, antes de darle el anillo? ¿Había pasado noches sin dormir imaginándose una vida conjunta? Sin mucha ceremonia, le tendió la caja, parecía que por fin iba a poder cerrar el capítulo.

-Gracias.

Sabía que había gente que fantaseaba con su pedida de mano, que si violines, que si fuegos artificiales, etc. Kaito no era de esos, no tenía interés, pero si tuviese que elegir una, esta era perfecta.

-Fuujin Kaito -Habló, mirándole a los ojos desde el suelo, el estuche abierto y el anillo resplandeciendo más todavía que en su propio apartamento. No era como antes, cuando había deseado que desapareciese, brillaba como una estrella en una noche oscura o como brillaban los pendientes favoritos de su madre, esos que solo se ponía para ocasiones especiales- Cásate conmigo.

Notó como la sangre se agolpaba en su rostro, tiñendo sus pómulos de un tono rojizo que se esforzó en ocultar girando la cabeza hacia un lado, escondiéndose tras una capa de pelo. Con el corazón a punto de salirsele del pecho, alargó la mano hacia él, esperando. Ni en un millón de años se habría imaginado que le gustaría tanto el contacto del metal frío alrededor de su dedo, el sentirse envuelto en los brazos de Gendou y que este susurrase un gracias, porque también temía su rechazo. Jamás se habría imaginado que fuese capaz de besarle en publico, incluso un beso tan simple como una suave presión contra sus labios antes de separarse.
