The bridge, 2016.

Seascapes have always been a huge fascination and inspiration for me. Long exposures always add drama or can calm down a subject to create a whole new image. On my last visit on the beautiful island of Usedom, I started a new long term series of long exposure seascape photography that will be called “mare tranquillitatis - Das Meer der Ruhe.” Mare tranquillitatis is basically a location on the Moon. This picture shown above didn’t make it to the series as I just want black and white photos that add their part to the calm athmosphere. However, mare tranquillitatis will be continued on different places around the Baltic Sea coast.
