I like to amuse myself, usually by casting a controversial stone into the pond of...I belong to two highly militant minorities that seem to be at odds with each other more than the world, its hard being queer, its hard being hispanic and and its harder when your larger communities only see you for your appearance and sex as opposed to what really mattters your actions and words. I am a He, i am Queer and I am hispanic but there is not internalized hate in me that I haven't already dealt with, the communities I am part of does enough to tear each other to bits the carnage can be taxing.

Randomly thought about MLP’s two different non-evil Changelings (the one who showed up in Slice of Life has been confirmed NOT to be Thorax, according to official MLP trading cards his name is Kevin), so I felt like giving Kevin his own reformed design

ok lets talk because I put too much thought into dumb things...

the Eds eye colours are the colours of their rooms, I thought that would be cool.

Ed would be happy to be a dragon, but he can't fly (not because his wings are tiny, he just can't coordinate them)

Edd is a unicorn because despite trying, I couldn't find another species that really fit, I'm sure people would have liked him as a deer but I didn't. his cutiemark is a magnifying glass and a bug because just the magnifying glass was booring.

Eddy's a griffin because he's greedy lol. but also he gives me cat energy and I thought it was funny that he hates birds. his bird half is a pink cockatoo cuz they lowkey look like Eddy lmao, but they're also smart, crafty and very loud.

the rest of the culdesac kids species are based of vibes, I woulda made Kevin a pegasus but griffin made him work better as basically Eddy's rival, I nearly made the cat half a Cheetah but the spots didn't suit him. Jonny was nearly a pony too. I was gonna make Rolf a Yak but I hear people find them iffy plus he wouldn't look like "stretch"

the Kankers were a tossup between Changelings and Sirens, I decided Changelings because the Sirens in mlp don't look design friendly, also the kankers don't exactly sing, also even though they more accurately feed on misery, they themselves are more into "feeding on love". I know changelings look like their old designs when they feed on love but I didn't want them to look the same! they look like the good versions because they're just kids or because their desire to feed on love is fake or smth... their eyes are pink cuz of their matching belt...

the downside is I only got to design one cutiemark 😭😢

It was so sweet to read all of the tags your left for them. In case anyone was curious my player name is Egg Fanatsy when playing FFXIV and within my FC my WoL goes by Egg. We have our own drawings, comics and inside jokes for all of our characters that I haven’t shared here. BUT as a character/OC within the story I personally am working on they go by Anja. Viera’s name themselves all kinds of things when they leave their villages so I like to think, later in life, when they’ve met my FC they go by Egg (a name of endearment from one of their childhood friends).

Anja/Egg uses they/them pronouns. The other viera I draw them with is Signe (he/they) and the Roe I draw them with is Loenrael (she/her)
