The other comedic duo
“I don’t give a damn that it’s pride, you are not putting that idiotic sign in this diner.” benjamin had been arguing with a few patrons who chipped in to decorate the inside of the establishment. the male was indeed supportive of the lgbtq+ community and was even bisexual himself, but festivities were not his thing. when one asked why, he groaned- “I am not going to put me riding on a unicorn, holding a bi pride flag.” the male’s arms were now waving about, his body contorting as he tried to restrain himself, but there was something coming out of him. a while ago, he would have agreed to the sign- feeling obligated to do so... what was happening to him?
diiscotheque:
“oh, believe me: that’s just the tip of the iceberg of what i can talk myself into,” eliza promised, mischief woven into her words. “i’m a woman of very many talents. and, most importantly, the towns people are of very little will power. they’d probably give me a key to the city if it meant i would finally stop talking.” it was true, she talked a lot. and very few people knew that more than the man who was talking to her _( _not that she knew that ). but there was something oddly familiar about him. ben’s hashtag motion caused a laugh to stifle in her throat. “okay, twitter bird, i’m listening. let’s talk fighting strategy. i’ve always wanted to try that move where one lifts the other by the arms and they kick the bad guys. i think it may bode well for this situation.” eliza glanced behind her, watching the crowd outside through the window. “not sure how i feel about stealing a danish from out of a person.. but you have piqued my interest, and you’ve got moxie, i’ll give you that. not a fan of the festival, huh ?”
“maybe the coffee should be decaf, seems like you’re already wired.” benjamin’s lips turned upward into a smile as the woman talked. sure, it was, to be honest, borderline annoying. but there was something fresh about listening to her speak, as well as a sense of familarity.. and he could see something, snow? but the distant memory disappeared just as fast as it came.”oh yeah, I’m a real man of action.” he laughed, something he rarely truly did. he looked at the tourists and shook his head, “not much of a festive guy, don’t see the point in big parades. they’re just so loud and this town always seems to have something going on, like damn- give us a break.” there was another face then, an older gentleman- and for some reason the simple thought of the man agitated him, but he didn’t know who he was- what a strange thing.
“the only thing i hate about pride week in this town is that i can’t walk into the coffee shop shouting, ‘i’m gay and low on energy, it’s an emergency !’ and successfully get to the front of the line. now all the tourists are like, ‘me too’ and now i have no coffee. or a danish.”
“I’m honestly surprised that worked in the first place because I’m pretty sure half of this town is” he raised his hands to do a hashtag motion “proud to be gay.” he looked around at the busy streets, he himself had to be at work in 5 minutes, but couldn’t find his way. ““hey, maybe if we knock our heads together we can fight off the crowd, and I’ll get ya a free cup of coffee... and we can find ya a danish... steal one out of these people who WONT GO AWAY.”
“What do you want on the cake?” Luke was eager to work on more designs. He hoped for something elaborate. Customers often wanted a few words or flowers. Not that he minded since he enjoyed it either way, but he liked a challenge he could spend more time on. “I’ve got some examples over here if you’re not entirely sure.” He gestured towards the cakes already on display. Those he had put a bit more effort into.
“I dunno man, something that speaks volumes for a small cake.” ben had a hard time explaining what he wanted, and as the other gestured toward the cakes on display. “you’ve got a real talent kid.” he said in the artist’s direction. “I’ll take that one.” he pointed at the one with a beautiful green icing. “what flavor is that one? my wife liked chocolate- is there a chocolate one of those right there?”
“I heard that the restaurant down the street has killer food” Cleopatra pauses for a moment . “I didn’t mean the food would kill you or that is poison , i just meant they have really good food .”
“gee, thanks. I really needed that explained, I woulda never ever gotten that.” the male stated, his voice never left his monotonous sarcastic tone he had mastered so well, some people never knew if he was joking. he fixed the pen that seemed to always be glued to the back of his ear, sighing. “I usually don’t eat out, I’m a big boy I can cook for myself.”
whaddup, its uhh, skinny penis Dean, and this is my rugged manly man with a big heart. luke danes is literally my all-time favorite character in gilmore girls. I remember fangirling over him when I watched the show in middle school. so im happy I get to portray him, lol I’m 20 and a middle school office worker so I’m on most summer. please message me to plot. I might make another muse too so please give me suggestions.
⌈ alden ehrenreich / cismale [he/him] ⌋ ━━ look its LUKE DANES.. you know, the ( canon ) character from the gilmore girls! in our world they’re BENJAMIN LOCKWOOD, a twenty eight year old bisexual working as a short order cook. they have a rep for being protective & cynical ; we all agree [ hey jude by the beatles ] should play when they walk in. they ( have ) regained ( some ) of their real memories. played by dean [they/them /cst ]
TRIGGER WARMING: death & addiction ment
Luke and I have had our ups and downs over the years, but through it all, his relationship with my daughter, Rory, has never changed. He’s always been there for her no matter what. He was there to celebrate her birthdays. He was there cheering her on at her high school graduation. Luke has been a sort of father figure in my daughter’s life.
