Why does iguro and Sanemi hate tanjiro ??
Ok so thinking about it there are a couple of reasons for why they hate him, or at least dislike him, I’ll start off with Iguro Obanai’s hate because his is the easiest to write about between him and Sanemi’s!
Iguro Obanai hates Tanjirou because:
He broke Demon slayer code + conduct by keeping a demon alive
This was also counted as insubordination and since Iguro has a very high regard + care for Kagaya Ubuyashiki this is a big no no
Tanjiro grew close with Mitsuri - they fought together so became friends, I’m pretty sure Mitsuri also grew close with Nezuko? - this caused an intense jealous/hate towards Tanjiro
Tanjirou passed Mitsuri’s Hashira Training with really positive reviews which honestly just made him Angier at him
But! A positive is that he grows some sort of fondness for Tanjiro so his hate doesn’t really last. So, Iguro’s anger was originally based on Tanjiro’s insubordination and breaking of the demon slayer rules before it developed into a generic hated/jealousy for Tanjirou getting closer to Mitsuri even if it was in a platonic sense!
Sanemi Shinazugawa hates Tanjirou because:
Same reason as Iguro - Tanjirou broke Demon slayer code + conduct by keeping a demon alive
Also counted as insubordination
Sanemi believes that humans and demons can never co-exist so when Tanjirou comes along with his demon sister, to put it lightly that pisses him off
However another fact to take into consideration is the fact that where Sanemi failed to protect his sibings from his transformed demon mother, Tanjirou goes out of his way to protect and to cure nezuko so seeing that probably makes him angry and reminds him of his failings
Overall Sanemi is an Angry person who’s angry at the world and most of those in it, so his anger at tanjirou is most likely, him just being angry and frustrated!
