Your Honour, the jury has reviewed the events of the Mugen Train incident and would like to state, for the record, that Rengoku Kyojuro’s strength is actually incomprehensible.
He fought Upper Rank Three immediately after a full-blown battle where he saved EVERYONE on board, didn’t rest, didn’t breathe, didn’t drink water
-
Nothing
-
and STILL almost killed an Upper Rank who was actively getting stronger because of Rengoku’s fighting spirit.
The jury notes that this was, strategically, the absolute worst match-up for any Hashira,
because Rengoku literally made Akaza stronger just by existing ( We can also note that any other Hashira wouldn’t of had such a large effect on Akaza this way because Rengoku’s fighting spirit was the largest ).
AND YET
He STILL had Akaza nearly GONE - terrified, scrambling, and holding on for dear life.
Furthermore, the court acknowledges that Rengoku managed all of this
WITHOUT a Slayer Mark
(which he would’ve gotten the easiest considering the man heats up like a human furnace and has the largest fighting spirit).
He held Akaza off until dawn, injured and alone, and still made him flee like he could of un poisoned the well if he ran fast enough.
Therefore, the jury finds Rengoku guilty of being the worst possible opponent for Akaza to encounter, and guilty of almost smiting him solo regardless.
What a legend. What a tank.

Court is now adjourned.
