That scene in the Hobbit movies where the Dwarves are like "what's all this green stuff" always makes me laugh because... Elrond is such a troll. Elves are renowned hunters, especially the Noldor, whom Elrond grew up with. He's literally pranking them. Peak Elrond. Elros would've loved it.

Fingolfin Mounted on Rochallor - by Kris Mendoza

So I finished crafting this diorama of the first meeting of Beren and Lúthien.

I decided to paint Beren in the various colors of the House of Bëor's heraldric device. Lúthien is painted after the description given in The Song of Beren and Lúthien.

The trees in the background are oak twigs taken from my wife and I's home, as is the white soil.

For those that aren't familiar with our story, my wife and I met years ago in an online community for fans of the Prancing Pony Podcast. Her username was Luthien, and by the time we started being romantically interested in each other, I'd known her as Luthien so long that is her name in my mind.

Our wedding was Beren and Lúthien themed, and one of my favorite hobbies is painting miniatures. It took me awhile to find minis that looked right for Beren and Lúthien, but I found these and I'm happy with the results.
