Eliza allowed the woman to lead her deeper into the cave, because she was right. She had never been in a cavern such as this. Most of her dragons stayed either in the stables on Berk or out in the open air on the Golem King’s island. Neither Eliza nor Valkyrie had ever seen a cave as large or as unique as the one they were in right now.

Eliza rose, straightening up and looking at the woman. She was smaller than Eliza had been expecting, given her reputation. She was expecting a woman the size of a dragon. But that by no means meant that she was unimpressive. She was still massive, tall and muscular, and she had an imposing presence about her. She was struck dumb for a moment before it occurred to her that she should introduce herself.

::Hello,:: she said, still speaking the dragon’s language. ::I am Eliza Drakdotter, of the Isle of Berk and The School of Dragons.:: She left out her role in her friend’s island, thinking he may not want The Masked Dragon Thief to know about him. ::This is my dragon companion, Valkyrie.::

A human speaking dragon tongue was not very common, especially a human from her own village. Pretty much everyone she spoke Dragonese to looked at her like she had grown an extra head. So it was admittedly nice to hear another human from her village

She never thought she’d live to see a human bow to her, but given the situation, it would make sense. But what do you say to someone acting super excited to see you? Valka wouldn’t know. Nevertheless, it warmed her heart to see the happiness on their faces.

Valka returned the bow, before standing up and taking off her mask. She cleared her throat and spoke again. ::You may rise.:: Of course, she was still getting used to saying that phrase. The Alpha Bewilderbeast would use it all the time when he was bowed to, as she recalled.

Valka was admittedly impressed by their knowledge. They were very well educated. She couldn’t help but find herself curious about those two. Many years, she would kidnap humans, but never in a million years would she ever expect one to come willingly. Addingly, with a Deathsong of all dragons.

::Not bad for a couple of newcomers,:: She finally spoke, her voice sounding deep, gruff and rather authoritive. She took a step out in the open. Her mask and suit came out of the shadows and into the dim light, making her look almost like a shadow. She approached them with curiosity, on all fours like a dragon, halting only when she was a foot from them.

Valkyrie took a step back as Valka approached them before lowering her head and sniffing the new human, her wings twitching and fluttering in excitement. Eliza stayed on her back for a moment before hopping off and bowing, something she felt was appropriate when meeting an Alpha and one of your heroes. Valkyrie saw this and followed Eliza’s lead, bowing quickly before rearing back up and flapping her wings.

::It’s you!:: She cried, hopping a bit. ::It’s really you! Eliza, it’s her!:: Beside the dragon Eliza was grinning.
