Escaping Fear (closed with valkaxhaddock)
“I give you dragons, stronger and more spirited then anyone here on these blasted ships! You have never questioned it before Drago, so why now?”
“Others think you are weak.”
“Because I make sure what you get is healed and healthy?! How does that show how weak I am?!” Drago turns suddenly swinging his metal arm out to slam into Fang. the guards around her let her fall to the ground and her head bleeds from getting scraped by his prosthetic. she doesn’t cry out in pain nor does she shy away from his glare. She knows she is useful, she knows she speaks the truth so she stands and snarls at the giant in front of her as he speaks.
“You are too empathetic you miserable woman. I knew I shouldn’t have let you on. No one takes a woman seriously not when it comes to concurring.” He walks over to the fire and Fang freezes her eyes wide and fists clenched.
‘Oh gods no not again.’ Taking a step back she quickly looks around for an escape. she would even take jumping off the giant ship and into the freezing water.
“No you have to be made an example of.” His fleshy hand rests on the branding rod sticking out of the fire. Quickly she turns to jump off the boat but the guards close-line her before she can take the last step. slamming her head onto the floor Fang groans and then coughs as the first few fists come down on her. With her arms pined and Drago walking closer she can honestly say she wasn’t expecting the punches from him. The first: uppercut to her jaw, the second: a punch to her gut, and the third: a kick in her side to make sure she is down.
“Cowered.” Drago growls as he watches her groan on the ground. kicking her onto her stomach takes the branding iron and presses it into her side hard. Her screams of pain can be heard from the surrounding ships as he twists and shoves her away.
“Get Out!” No one helps her up as she struggles to stand. So gripping the railing and keeping her tear stained face out of sight she slowly makes her way off the ship and onto her own. Making sure to avoid her crew and Erret Fang makes her way into the dragon’s cages. She would go there to feel ...powerful and to be alone and yet not be along. Sure ever one of them either hated or feared her but the few she has brought back stay quiet and indifferent. She did after all heal them ... even if it was while under a tranquilizer.
‘This is too much ... I can’t take this any more.’ She thinks to herself while she leans up agents a seemingly empty cadge and slides down to the ground with a hiss.
‘I can’t, this isn’t what I wanted. I want my fear to be gone ... not to be directed at something else. I need to get out of here, but first ... I need a distraction.’ leaning her head up agents the bar she closes her eyes and thinks just what she could do that would get her off of this damned ship.
