i hate making posts like these, but i got injured unexpectedly and am going to be missing a full week of pay. my wife is also not getting paid for this week, and my hours next week are unusually low. we're trying to prepare to move into a place of our own in just a couple of months, and it's a bad time to be taking such massive hits to our income.

the fact that the report [ file available at the bottom of this page ] listing every person who has been killed in palestine since oct 7th is over 210 pages long is fucking insane. the first of the 88 names are from one family. after that, the following 72 are from one family. one family. i am asking you from the bottom of my heart, do not become desensitized to these numbers. 7,028 killed. 2,913 of them children. thousands missing under the rubble. do not ever let these numbers be anything but shocking and disturbing to you.

Its been said countless times but its insane that we are literally witnessing a genocide. We are being witness to the mass slaughter of indigenous peoples and nobody with the power to do anything seems to care. Its so hard to hold onto hope, but we must for the Palestinian people. As an indigenous person who still feels the effect of ethnic cleansing and genocide and colonization today, who sees it still in his family, it pains me to see it currently happening to millions of people. Death to israel. Death to america. Death to britian. Justice for the Palestinian people. Solidarity with oppressed peoples everywhere. Strength to Gaza.

just got the new issue of time magazine in the mail. 8 pages dedicated to israeli suffering. grieving for their loved ones who are still alive and whom the israeli government is refusing to take back. stories of laughter and life and love cut short by captivity.

one and a half pages dedicated to palestinian suffering. a giant photograph of a man screaming in agony over the blood body of his dead nephew. they mention that the vast majority of deaths are palestinian children. the story ends.

isreali captives got dignified photographs with their family. one photograph of a palestinian man grieving his dead nephew who bleeds out next to him, barely obscured by a blanket.

even the sympathy for palestine is diluted by finger wagging at the uncouth and unsavory way people are fighting for their freedom. some mentions are made of how gaza should be demilitarized (no mention of the west bank at all), but the fear that poor isreali settlers are experiencing is put on the same footing as the mass slaughter of palestinians, their water being cut, medical aid being delayed, electricity and now internet being cut.

the u.s. senate unanimously passing a resolution condemning every pro-palestine student demonstration as "anti-semitism" and "pro-hamas" while turning a blind eye to israel cutting gaza off from the world so they can wipe out an entire population is one of the most disgusting things i've ever seen in my life btw. palestinians being slaughtered in the thousands while mccarthyism is being blatantly reinstated.
