spoiler: I'm the biggest hourglass hater.
hourglass is a really rare type of figure. it's not just "the waist is narrower than the shoulders and hips" - to have such a thing is not so rare, and even more so it's not a sign that it's an hourglass. the peculiarity of the hourglass is a special deposition of fat reserves, in which your waist never changes with the ratio of shoulders-waist-hips, no matter what, because it will always be thin with good shoulders and a big ass (hips as wide as shoulders; sometimes the hips seem visually wider, so despite the doubt, since we are still not 2D, I prefer to use mathematics with its "hips and shoulders should be larger than the waist by 25 centimeters, hips and shoulders should not be more than 5 centimeters apart"). and yes, this is rare precisely because fat deposits, as a rule, are not deposited in this way, and they either find places throughout the body or in the lower part of the body.
because, well, you know, fat deposits are deposited in different ways, and, funny fact, but if you've never been chubby/overweight, then it's unlikely that you know your body type, because you just don't know how fat is deposited — and something tells me, our hourglass is just thin bananas, yk? because when losing weight or was originally thin, the feminine body will naturally resemble these features, because a narrow waist is the responsibility of estrogen, but this does not make the figure an "hourglass", a person is still a pear, a triangle and the like.
I remember talking about it before, but I think it's important because every type of figure is important and beautiful.
you can say, "lol, but wait, what's the difference? people want to consider themselves 90-60-90 models, why not? it's not very body positive," and let me explain: other people are reading this - while we all grew up in an environment where a man should have broad shoulders with narrow hips, and a woman should have a waist where two triangles at the junction of the vertices, and - wow! - but it gives rise to a feeling of inferiority when everything is "hourglass", while you don't have a waist or your shoulders are almost like a waist while your ass is "the size of a dump truck".
and, imagine, but a person can not often achieve such parameters, and it requires a lot of time, effort and nerves, because you use exercises, diet or surgery to model your body accordingly - but this is always a temporary effect. It is not normal to boost your self-esteem by having an hourglass, just to compare yourself with other figures and feel insecure.
the elevation of the hourglass figure must die, it is the same figure as the others, and it should not be considered a blessing or a curse, it is just a figure with its own characteristics.
you are still beautiful, not only regardless of weight, but also regardless of type. because you are more than a piece of meat. you are a human being. you don't have to meet a rare standard. you don't need someone else's admiration for your figure to be valid. and you definitely don't need to feel "different." it's okay to "be like everyone else."
because, you know, everyone else is cool too.
