hey ! i’m motley, thanks for giving this a read. my portrayal of din is based in the disney+ series and my own headcanons! i am well versed in the star wars films and i’m halfway through the clone wars, but lesser so in the comics/novelizations. this is my first foray into the star wars roleplay fandom, but i’ve been around in the tumblr rpc since 2013. feel free to send me a message to say hello! i’m very friendly. important links will be listed below.

CRACKS IN THE ARMOUR

UNFEELING & cold metal gaze settles upon omera as she enters the barn. behind the cover of BESKAR, however, his eyes are warm and filled with CONCERN. he doesn’t move from his seat on the edge of the cot - the kid rests in his makeshift cradle a few feet away, cooing at the sight of a familiar face. after a drawn out moment of silence, din subtly shakes his head. “ please, SIT. ” it is HER BARN, after all. attention is dragged from her silhouette in the doorway to focus instead on his blaster that sits in a state of disassembly in his lap. there’s COMFORT in routine, even on this UNFAMILIAR PLANET. 

“ is WINTA all right? ” he asks without raising his helmet. outside, he hears the other villagers whooping and laughing - celebrating their VICTORY, no doubt - and he hopes that the girl is among them. it’s easier to stomach than the potential alternative, that she’s hiding somewhere after witnessing so much VIOLENCE. “ you should be celebrating with them. ” din nods towards the open window; the hulking remains of the at-st make for an IMPOSING SILHOUETTE on the horizon, just beyond the bonfire that the other villagers gather around. he’ll have to help haul it away before he goes. din pauses his cleaning to look up at omera again, hands resting atop armoured thighs. to anyone who doesn’t KNOW BETTER, they might think there’s no one under that armour after all, with how STILL he sits. “ are YOU all right? ”
