Stomach bug?
Warning for the queasy: TMI to come. So I have my first stomach bug since surgery. Do I just treat it like I would have prior to surgery (7 mo post op)? I am worried about getting dehydrated. I have had diarrhea for 3 days now, accompanied with intermittent nausea and abdominal cramping. (Thankfully no vomiting). I don't want to be a worry wart, but I also don't want to fall behind with fluids and I am having a hard time keeping up. I am super lethargic and getting dizzy when I stand. Just looking for advice from other WLS pts and their experiences. Thanks lovelies.
Good morning beauties.
Sorry I have been so down lately. I had a terrible eating day yesterday but today I am back on it! You all should do some research on eggs. I eat a ton (literally sooooo many). We all need to eat more eggs. They are the perfect protein and really just so darn healthy. (And the perfect portion 😉) Anyway, have a great day ya'll. 😘
hey if ur a curvy or fat babe and you feel underrepresented or unappreciated or ur just not feelin ur body today im here with a hug and to tell u ur a total babe and u rule
Is it weird that feeding other people junk food gives me a similar satisfaction to eating it myself? Like, if I bake junk food, or go grocery shopping and buy the crap I used to before surgery knowing I can give it to someone else, it still makes me feel good. Idk. I feel so messed up.
When you are so terrible at running, that your body doesn't even wait until the next day to start getting sore after a run 😂
My excess skin.
It hurts. It pulls. It tugs. It stretches. It chronically gets infected regardless of hygiene habits. I hate feeling like I have lost 175 lbs and still failed because it still feels like a big glob of fat on my tummy. I hate it I hate it I hate it. And I still need to lose 70 more lbs...
The excess skin struggle is real. The body dysmorphia struggle is real. The hating yourself struggle is real. The whole fucking mental game is so fucking real and some days I wonder if I will ever be the same.
FIRST STEPS ARE COMPLETED.
I had my physical with my PCP and a referral and letter of medical necessity was faxed to my surgeon!
I have all my appointments set up. Consultation with surgeon ✔ Group nutrition class ✔ Individual nutrition appointment ✔ Psych evaluation ✔ Final nutrition appointment (hopefully) ✔
If everything goes as planned my appointments will be finished by the end of March and I will be scheduling my surgery for the middle of May! (After school gets out).
I’m feeling all sorts of ways!
I just want to eat all the cheese and lose all the weight *sigh*
Why is it so difficult for grown fucking adults to chew with their mouths closed and blow their noses? Why why why
I spent so much money at costco. So. Much. Money.
I am so disappointed, I gotta see the cardiologist twice smh
so I wont be able to submit to insurance til the end of March
I want my date right now and that is the only thing holding me back
maybe if I get my BMI under 60 (which is 30 pounds, is that possible to lose in a month?) they’ll submit it my next weigh in Feb 29th.
*sigh*
It is possible, but not easy. When my BMI was over 60, I lost 30 lbs in a month pre-op. Regardless, hang in there. It will all happen in due time. *hugs*
I am gonna try my best, I will just keep in mind it will happen eventually, I am just so inpatient! Lol
I know it is so hard! My surgery ended up getting rescheduled and I was so bummed but now that I am 7 months out it all seems like a distant memory. It will be so worth it when all is said and done!
Hey, can y’all give me some meal prep tips?
I am working with a 25-50$ a week budget
I really want to do better
anyone have a good meal prep? Help a sista out
Frozen veggie burgers on sandwich thins give me life. Low cal, high protein. Loved them preop, love them now. You can get a pack of 8 burgers for around $5 and the bread for about $2.50 which has 8 sandwiches worth in the bag.
Pre op I did a lot of cheap low cal frozen meals (think lean cuisine) to help me with portion control.
Snacks now and then, check your local .99 cent store or bargain grocery store for nuts and jerkey. I can usually score my snacks there on the cheap. I also eat a ton of Greek yogurt and cheese sticks, all relatively cheap. I buy most my veggies frozen during the off season in the blue steamer bags ($1-2) and there is plenty in each bag for multiple meals. A bag of chicken breast will go a long way for one person.
You got this! :)
