Fashion flashback
History tends to repeat itself-and the saying definitely holds true in the beauty world. As 80s fashion is back so be kooky and get the 80s aviators with heels, fun looking.
Almost comically large, 80s style aviators were spotted on the European streets this fashion month. Oversized, flat on top and round on the bottom, this style of glasses covered many faces of street style stars.
Between listening to new wave and boy bands and staring at our posters of Rob Lowe, Leonardo Di Caprio, and JTT, we somehow managed to style ourselves up in acid-washed jeans, biker shorts, jellies, and other semi-horrific pieces way back when.
Wine lipstick may seem new, but the trends that inspired them are as classic as Joan Crawford's half-moon manicure! Deep Bordeaux lipsticks had a serious moment on the fall and winter runways, but the wine lip trend was popular as early as the 1920s and '30s, spotted on stars like Clara Bow.
Halter Tops, Flared Jeans, Chokers, and Big Earrings made a comeback in 2016. Beyond Ms. Kapowski, floral was probably most seen on babydoll dresses. For some real 90s authenticity, layer the spaghetti-strap dress over a white tee, and add some Keds or Doc Martens. Elegant Victorian Gown worn by Victorians made a comeback in 2016.

Sherri Hill
“Activewear becomes more intuitive to our lifestyles, transitioning to intelligent essentials that push us forward to be better, both inside and out. The way we’ve come to use our smart phones and wearable tech devices to be a seamless part of our daily lives, these urban minimalists personify the modern mentality of of health – to obtain clarity through purposeful design, constant flow of ideas and activity, and a decidedly refined level of energy. This very technical outlook on life is balanced with utilitarian softness by using parachute nylon, raw silk, and classic jersey.”

Fashion & You
“I wish that every time I ‘liked’ an outfit on instagram it would magically appear in my closet.” Fashion is a statement and it never ends on outfits, fashion is to talk smartly, stand smartly, walk smartly, it is to eat smartly. Fashion is an attitude. Fashion is everywhere, in your shoes, thoughts, enjoyment and even in your food. It simply means a manner of doing something well. To bring people out of their boredom, it changes after every six months. The last three decades have witnessed a re-valuation of fashion, both in terms of its credibility as an area of academic investigation and its importance in Western culture, third, which has caused its reconsideration within popular culture. Fashion does not only mean clothes, it means from hair band to shoe lace including specs and bags.
Fashion moves from the Elite to the Street. That means it always moves from up to down. What is worn by a celebrity today, will be wornby a girl from a rich background two days later and will be worn by a middle class girl after ten days. That will be the time when its popularity will be at the peak, and gradually the popularity of the trend will start declining. Finally, the time will come when it will not be seen anymore. That is what we are finding these days in our fashion: Revolt, madness, subversion, lots of attitude and oomph factor. It is defined by the bigger players of the scene like Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, DKNY etc. The smaller fishes in the pond try to imitate.
“Fashion fades but Style is eternal.” A statement by a famous designer Yves Saint Laurent. What you wear? How you wear? People will remember you by that. Fashion is the only language that works in a global range without the necessity of using words to transport a message, set a statement or show your colours. Style is a dialect of fashion, and finding your own style is a process that takes time and effort and an open mind — to evolve, to develop, to grow, to change, to find yourself and analyze your true motives and purpose in life.
