Best foot forward and ride on

Equestrian sideblog. Agender [they/them/their]. ♥ Celtic Flame, Dec 06 Andaloosa Gelding ♥ I bought Celtic in late 2011 as a feral and barely halter trained project horse. It's been a long road but we've hacked, done fun rides, schooled XC, and finally got our first red ribbon in baby show jumps in 2015. I had hip surgery in 2016 and though it's less life-limiting, chronic pain is just a way of life. In 2020, we moved away from Cornwall and everything I'd ever known for a fresh start in the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside. Celtic of course, came with me. We're loving life here, and just putting our best foot forward every day.

this project took me a total of 55 hours of work, and is one of the most unique projects i’ve ever done. i drove it back to its home a few weeks ago, and the friend i painted it for loved it!

this is the horse I used as a reference! her name was Juno, she passed unexpectedly this spring. this project was a gift to honor her ♥️
