Ultimately, she supposed she didn't care that much, and she didn't get why the man was so frightened. It wasn't like he was going to cut off his head or feed him to the faeries.

Tiny legs kicked freely, a small laugh erupting as she was lifted despite her attempt at being stern. Though as unafraid of him she might have been, or at least appeared, she recognized that other people here seemed wary and stayed out of his way.

The girl barely understood the words he used, not grasping what he actually was as much as she didn't grasp what anything magical was in this giant maze of a home. Dead? But he was right in front of her--

While she wasn't withholding anything, as she assumed he knew the inherit danger and ugliness of going up against that particular gang, she wasn't psychic. Anything could happen, things could go tits up.

She reached out one of her cybernetic hands, no human element, no flesh beyond her wrist. But even so, what could be seen past that looked just as modded to hell, what hid beneath her sleeves was hardware on hardware, barely a trace of her old self.

Mechanical fingers shone, and So Mi offered a smile. She really wasn't as much of a hardass as she might have appeared.

The woman picked up her drink with a mechanical hand, downing what remained before setting the glass back down, hands clasped together on the table as she leaned in.

The problem is, the parts I've tacked down happen to be in the den of some feisty Maelstrom. ❜

So Mi cut the video feed, going back to some pornographic advertisement that had been previously displayed, her voice marking the end of the transmission.

It took little time for her to make her way there by her favorite way of transportation. The hacked car drove her, windows dark enough to keep discreet but not so dark you'd think about robbing it. The Afterlife wasn't her favorite place, but thankfully she wasn't easy to recognize when she hid the extent of her hardware ; a black turtleneck under her neon yellow rain coat did the job well enough. Faded pink and purple hair lay over the back of her skull, just dusting her shoulders, having sat in a booth. The moment the man she'd come to meet slithered through the plastic sheet doors, she'd be sure to look him in the eye to get his attention.

The place still had that awful, unwashed smell to it. Still rundown, but weirdly charming. She wasn't too hot over the clientele, not really for any elitist reason, but more so because these were people who would at any moment rip her apart if a bounty came up. Thankfully, she was more covert than that.

So Mi could tell by his tone and mostly blank face that he wasn't completely sold. Reasonable, she wasn't someone well known outside Netrunner circles or politics ; the ballsy girl from Brooklyn with a penchant for suicide missions.

Though what she intended to ask would come off as some vanity project, ultimately it was necessary to advance her abilities.

With a little luck, she spotted some youth not too far back. It took some convincing and all the cash she had on her, and the pearl earrings she wore, but she soon sent them off to go antagonize the crew.

Running back to her travel partner, she put her hands on her hips, pleased to see the two men chase after the kids who were throwing rocks and various other things at them.
