i don’t even really know how to describe it oh my god. it’s just. so good. it’s absolutely balls to the walls insane all the time and it makes literally no sense but it actually makes perfect sense. its about a bunch of thirty year old losers learning to live life again in the weirdest way ever. dirk is a lil british guy who is responsible for so much death and has so many issues. todd is an ex punk rocker with issues. farah is like if james bond had crippling anxiety. it’s just so so so much fun but also weirdly heart-wrenching when you don’t expect it to be. it is the only show i’ve ever seen that has legitimately changed how i viewed the world around me (everything is connected!!!). the storytelling is so unique, the cinematography (esepcially the use of color) is great, and the s1 score is actually one of the best scores i have ever heard. also as the previous propaganda mentioned there is canonical queer stuff (panto and silas and tina!!!) AND theres a disabled character who gets to go live in a van with a bunch of energy sucking vampires. absolutely brilliant and gone too soon :(((

Horrible Histories: show aimed to educate children about history, gore and all! Also specifically tackles common misconceptions. Very funny as well!!! It won a comedy award and beat adult comedy tv shows, it fuckin deserves it too :3

Avatar: The Last Airbender: atla is one of the best tv shows to ever air on tv. not the best kids show or best cartoon or family show: the BEST television series to EVER AIR. Great characters, stellar world building, amazing writing with satisfying themes and payoff, beautiful art and animation, well choreographed fight sequences, banger soundtrack, amazing voice acting, nearly perfect from start to finish., best show of all time got me super into animation and sokka is the older sister of all time

The Owl House: gay. that was all that was submitted. my friend wrote the rest of this: the owl house is possibly one of the greatest modern cartoons of today. while it's mainly known for its incredible queer representation, it doesn't stop at simple surface level representation, but it dives deeper into it through the setting of the boiling isles, which, while it is queer-friendly, has fascism deeply entrenched into it, restricting its people into boxes of magic, limiting them to keep them under the emperor's iron fist. it's queer allegory at its finest, not simply pushing down homophobia, but rather deconstructing the very systems of box-building that keep queer people pushed to the margins of society for simply daring to be different. and that's only the beginning. the show is often praised for its representation outside of queerness, such as representation of different body types and races, and especially disabilities and family structures. overall, the show is simply a celebration of being different, and rising up against the systems that punish you for being different. this message spread to the meta too, with disney cancelling the queerest show it had ever had for not being appropriate for its brand, but the show making the most of its limited circumstances and delivering an incredibly beautiful story anyhow. the owl house is amazing and you should watch it. also gay

Community: Truly the sitcom of all time. It's genuinely really well written and funny, while also having amazing characters that actually grow as people. It managed to survive having it's original writer leave the show, nearly being cancelled multiple times, and going to yahoo tv, all while still being funnier than most sitcoms I've seen. It's incredibly creative, and I can genuinely count on one hand the number of flop episodes over six seasons. Community forever!!!, oh my god. oh my fucking god. this show. it’s the best. ever. of all time

Our Flag Means Death: THE TV show that surprised everyone by being ACTUALLY queer, and not just queerbaiting!!!! It has found family, it has gay pirates, IT'S SO FUNNY. And despite being openly queer, it keeps the great symbolism we got to see in queerbaity shows. The characters are incredible, this show makes me go feral
