Name: Indigo Hellhounds Description: A large and beastly species, they lack external eyes and most other orifices save for their gaping maw. They “see” via sensory organs within their head that can detect thermal radiation. Their mouth is also a gateway to acutely heightened scent receptors; able to detect prey within up to a mile radius, the Hellhounds are avid hunters. They are normally solitary creatures that show aggression to most other organisms, even other individuals of the same species. They show significant sexual dimorphism; males have six sharp horns adorning their back/neck area in two rows, and typically sport many scars in their thick hide from skirmishes both won and lost. Males are also more muscular and require a heavy tail as counterbalance for their front weight. Females, by contrast, are more limber, and they bear chitinous back-facing spines of an undefined purpose. Both are highly dangerous and territories should be regarded with extreme caution.
