Be The Best Sport

Be The Best Sport is an innovative and adaptive sports and art program for children who have intellectual disabilities as well as physical impairments. The program offers individuals exposure to a variety of art activities and sports such as basketball, soccer, and track & field. The goal of the program is to expose the athletes to the world of sports and art and allow them to develop and strengthen their motor, cognitive, and social abilities. They have the opportunity to learn the basics of each sport, through a hands-on multi-sensory approach. The program helps facilitate the building of sport skills, confidence, self-esteem, and sportsmanship, while meeting the needs of each individual. Professional coaches, dedicated volunteers, and special education teachers will help the athletes acquire new skills and develop new creative attributes.

Mission at Be The Best Sport

Be The Best Sport is focused on the athletic development of children with special needs. Our mission is to create and provide fun and exciting programs for children with special needs ages 18 and younger;  such programs will offer recreational sports as well as music and art activities for the children and their families. Through these efforts, Be The Best Sport seeks to help alleviate the emotional stresses and financial burdens felt by parents of children with special needs; to share with children with special needs and their families, the benefits that participation in recreational sports and art programs can provide.
