After a seeming eternity of endless pain and agony in which you were trapped as your body healed itself, you become aware of your surroundings. Smelling the air around you, not musty and death filled but fresh and slightly cool which meant you were indoors. Your ears strain at the slightest of noise and you feel as though every inch of you were hypersensitive to the world of the living where one could feel everything instead of the constant chill of nothingness the vast numbing of sensations the utter and total darkness of it all. You struggle to open your eyes afraid that they would pick up every detail of everything around you overloading your brain and slipping back into a comatose state. Slowly you flutter your eyes before opening them slowly your sight blurred by a fluorescent light you see a shade of a person with, slightly nubby protrusions on there head. You reach out a hand slowly, and stiffly to the figure.

*She looks towards the couch and jumps up*

JOHN! JOHN YOU’RE AWAKE!

*She grabs his hand and kneels next to him. She doesn’t know what to do or say next. Her eyes are bright and big trying not to tear up from happiness. Her one true friend is back.*

*you hear a loud voice yet soft and sweet, you feel a hand clasp your and your eyes begin to focus and you start to make out the details of her face. You see her eyes sparkling and her teeth shining from how hard she was smiling, you see the tears forming behind her smile. You reach out with your other hand and rest your palm on her face, wiping away the tears before they could run down her face. Evey muscle in your body was stiff and sore but it felt so good to feel again, the sensations of touch sight and sound were overwhelming, but smell was the worst, you could detect every little scent in the air around you, most overwhelming was Kate, her scent was working its way into your memories and associating itself with happiness, you were smiling big on the outside, but the light burning inside was so much bigger. It gave you the strength to sit up and wrap your arms around her and just hold her close, you could feel tears of your own welling up behind your eyes. With a great deal of effort you whisper in her ear.*

Kate, thank you for being my angel and being my guiding light back home.

*you bury your face in her neck revelling in the comfort of her*

Black really isn’t John’s color but it’s all you have. She leaves the clothes outside the bathroom and goes to her room to wait. She sits in her computer chair and blanks out her mind of all thought. She needs to relax. It’s just her moiral. She doesn’t need to feel so nervous around him.*

*you take your time in the shower, letting the hot water relax your stiffened muscles, get your blood flowing good and proper, by the time you step out you feel so relaxed and at ease with your body, you slowly open the door and peek out seeing the clothes laying on the floor you quickly pick them up, you slide one pair of shorts on and leave off the other pair, you pull the shirt on over your head, and look at yourself in the mirror. You look like a bad boy in all black, rough and ready for a fight, you throw a few punches being nerdy and get your blood pumping faster, too fast, a part of your anatomy recieves more blood than has been in it in over a month and it shows no sign of going down, you walk out of the bathroom holding the extra pair of shorts over the bulge*

Now look where you were, sitting beside her, alive and whole thanks to her, the hardships you put her through….weighed heavy on your heart, in a way you pitied her, for all the hell she’d gone through on your behalf, somehow you were beginning to understand Alternian culture when it came to their version of love, you felt both for her, the human emotion of love, which burned strongly for her, and an almost troll like form of pity, if anything were to happen to her you’d probably lose yourself to your psychotically darker self.
