help, it's again
wish I can wipe my memory after season finale
leaving aside the fact that jinx is probably still alive, that ending was oddly comforting.
the two sisters will never grow old together in either timeline. but in each one where they do survive, they find happiness. they find purpose. they keep going. isnt that what we all do? the tragedy of life is that we will never get everything we want. the beauty of it is that we still make it worth living.
i know people are going to give the writers a lot of shit for this, but i admire that they took this direction. its painfully realistic, its bittersweet and it hit me harder than any piece of media has any right to.
No but the way that Caitlyn responds to Vi back in a cage feeling like she’s fucked up feeling like she can’t do anything right chewing endlessly over her own choices and saying “I choose wrong every time”, the way she responds with love, compassion, humour, with recognition that she knows that this is who Vi is, with reassurance that she loves her for it, suggesting that she knew Vi would come down here for Jinx and went out of her way to facilitate that. like that’s true love. no wonder Vi pounced her
I want to talk about Caitlyn's line "You really think I needed all the guards at the Hexgates?" and how much of an admission of her love for Vi it is. A playful admission, full of light-hearted snark, but an admission nonetheless.
This is Caitlyn telling Vi that she trusts her, trusts that her decisions are the right ones to be made, trusts that Vi is right in saying that Jinx has changed.
This is Caitlyn telling Vi that she's letting go, that she's finally putting her love for Vi over her grief for her mother and her hatred for Jinx.
This is Caitlyn telling Vi she believes in her good heart, that she's fallen in love with that good heart.
And if you loved the journey more than the end, go ahead
Just turn that hourglass around and count to ten
This ain't goodbye no more
Nah, it just began
ARCANE SEASON 2 ACT III ↝ goodbye
"Are you still in this fight, Violet?" "I am the dirt under your nails, Cupcake. Nothing's gonna clean me out."
I don't think some of ya'll realize how monumental the caitvi sex scene is. Normalization of queer love that isn't for the male gaze is so fucking sick
ARCANE LEAGUE OF LEGENDS: 2x09 - “Dirt Under Your Fingernails” ↳ "I think the cycle only ends when you find the will to walk away."
First and last appearances (1/?)
my heart bursted into petals when ekko showed powder the mural he painted of violet for her, it was such a quiet, powerful act of love. that was a gift, he captured vi as she is now, strong, unyielding, grown into the protector powder always believed her to be. It was a reminder, a message carved into color and stone that her sister is still here, that she’s still fighting, still loving her, even when the world feels too far gone. It was beautiful in its simplicity, the kind of beauty that lingers. In creating that mural, he was giving Powder a piece of her sister
