19 things I've learned in my 19 years of living
1. Your first love is called your first love for a reason.
2. What’s for you will not pass you.
3. Nothing worth having comes easy… but if it comes too hard, it may not be for you.
4. Everyone has story, and it is crucial to try not to judge and always be understanding.
5. Best friends are the best medicine to any pain you can feel.
6. When you truly love someone, you will love them forever, regardless if they remain in your life or not.
7. Silence is the loudest scream, and the most powerful response is no response at all.
8. Sometimes the problem is not that you are not enough for someone, but simply that you are too much for them. The right person will not be able to get enough of you.
9. We are only as blind as we choose to be.
10. Worrying about what other people think of you will do nothing for you. Strive to be the kind of person you wish you had in your life, that’s all that matters.
11. Obstacles will inevitably come your way, greet them with patience and hard work.
12. The worst thing you can do to yourself is settle. Never ever settle for less.
13. Money is just money, and they’re not going to stick it in your coffin with you when you die, so spend it when you have it. However, do not spend it on food and clothes, spend it on memories and experience.
14. Good movies, tv shows or books are some of the best gifts this world has to offer us.
15. Self confidence is free happiness. Let yourself have it.
16. Sometimes a love too strong is dangerous. Never let yourself love someone to the point where you lose the value of yourself.
17. Everything is better at night time. Movies, adventures, sex, breakfast foods… everything.
18. We have many soulmates in this world. Some romantic, some not. Some last a lifetime, some don’t. But you will meet people in this world that your soul connects to in a way that defies logic.
19. Never let your past define you. You can be anyone you want to be at any point in time. Do not limit yourself because of the worlds preconceived image of you.
When did you realize you wanted to travel?
As a child, I was never exposed much to travel or foreign countries. However at a young age, I’ve always known that I’ve wanted to honeymoon in Greece.
Perhaps it was an ad on television, or feature in a magazine, but ever since my first taste of what the world had to offer, I’ve never looked back since.
At 18, straight out of high school, I wanted to pursue my dreams of traveling. I enrolled into college and worked full time as a waitress. Leaving no room to breathe, if I wasn’t pursuing education then I was collecting dishes and wiping table tops.
Three years of that routine and I was able to accomplish 20+ countries to explore, all before the age of 21.
If you’re struggling to achieve your dreams, don’t give up. I guarantee you there’s a way. Work towards your goal, focus on a method that works for you, and take each day as an opportunity to become closer to your dreams.

Understand me. I’m not like an ordinary world. I have my madness, I live in another dimension and I do not have time for things that have no soul.

Here’s to the New Year…to the memories and starting the new ones, to the past and letting go. Here’s to the pain that made us stronger, to the smiles that gave us hope. Here’s to the people we’ll always love, and those who showed us what being a real friend means. Here’s to working hard toward our goals, and to the times we kicked back and enjoyed the view. Here’s to the late nights we’ll eventually remember, and the good times we’ll never forget. Here’s to being alive and living, not being alive and getting by. Here’s to learning from our mistakes knowing there’ll be plenty more, and not being afraid to fail. Here’s to another year, not cause you’re getting older, but becoming wiser, becoming stronger, becoming happier. Knowing what you want out of life and going for it. Making yourself a “better” person isn’t doing what society says you should be, but accomplishing what you hope for, whether its having a career goal, having a family, quitting habits, starting habits, being different, staying the same, going to school, dropping out. Whatever you choose to get where you want to be. I hope you all strive, hope, wish, and dream because even the littlest of wishful thinking can change the world. I strive to make a better future for myself, I hope to meet many interesting people in my lifetime and keep them close, I wish to reach my goals as i plan them, and I dream that people will open their eyes and accept what they don’t understand rather than fear and exclude it. Here’s to never giving up no matter how many times I fall, and knowing that I will never be alone. Here’s to knowing there will always be someone better, faster, stronger, and not letting it phase me. Here’s to being here another year with friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, and everyone else…Here’s To You.
Couldn’t have said it better myself.
If this were a possible ability, I would choose to start (life) over. Cleanse myself and just have a clean slate. Opening up my mind to new things and expanding endlessly.
We are all shaped by our experiences, knowledge, and own terms of wisdom; it probably doesn’t make sense to reset a life spent building and learning all those years, but what kind of life would it be if we had the chance to just ‘start over’?

Now that it’s becoming that time when it’s the end of the year, I just want to take the time to say that tomorrow is never promised. I always hear about people’s goals which involve with changing once every new year starts, or about how they want to wait until the new year to start something new. Though why not do it now? Just live in the moment. Decide now and stop thinking that you have enough time later. This overall year has taught me that there’s a limitless amount of time to do anything, but how you prioritize your goals is when it should matter, because you never know when you will ‘run out of time’.
I had a life-changing moment when an old friend passed away this year. Realizing that I’ve known him for so long but I never took the initiative to be more than acquaintances. Barely this year, we ran into each other again and realized we had mutual friends, this was when I took my chances on talking with him again. I wish I would’ve taken the time to get to know him, before anything could’ve happened to him. That’s when life hit me and made me think, I really need to keep in touch and take that action to check up on people. “How are they doing? Are they feeling okay? What are their life goals?”
I’ve realized over the past few years that I was so focused on growing up, working, going to school, and being with friends that I neglected the one thing that should matter most: my dog (and family). I missed out on my chance of watching my dog grow because I was so busy with myself, and for that I truly feel regret. (Is this how my brother feels about me?) Everyone is growing old, and life definitely goes on; but it’s painful to watch someone pass away or never having the chance to spend time with the people (or pets) you care about. It’s always easy to say, “I’ll do it next year.” when really, you can make it happen and change someone’s life now.
