Okay I know I KNOW your blog is exploading right now, but I HAVE to say this. "We Belong Together" is an old song that GD&TOP wrote back in, like 2008? And the title of his new song being "IBelongIIU" makes me feel like it is a sequel almost? Conspiracy theories getting wilder day by day down here..

anon! “we belong together” is not just an old gd&top song. it is literally the first single big bang released and the first music video they made.

on the one hand, “we belong together” “you belong with me” “i belong to you” these are all very common refrains in love songs; it’s like “home sweet home”; these are just super common english-language expressions.

but is it so crazy to think jiyong would take the time to reference his and seunghyun’s history, sometimes in great detail? idk anon, idk.

If I may: Drama feels like something that belongs in Ariana's newest album, just the heartbreak of the songs feels so similar. Not implying anything, just saying since that album is so personal to Ariana Grande.

I think I already said something Ari related but um, the grief in these songs in so similar so. 'We Can"r Be Friends' is clearly a song with a double meaning about the media and her ex, and so is Drama.. Which elements are which though? In HSH it was very clear, what was for what, here it is such a blurry line.

FOR INSTANCE "blessing the curse that we are born with" WHAT INNATE CURSE, WHICH MIGHT ALSO BE DESCRIBED AS A BLESSING, DO YOU AND THIS PERSON SHARE, JIYONG? (um true love or something i guess, probably not musical talent, probably.)

anyway and then bonamana is a song about sleeping with someone who's in a relationship. BUT LIKE. references to how this is forbidden and dangerous and scandalous. it would be very easy for this song to be about a different kind of relationship is all I'm saying.

well okay first of all yes obviously i feel the gtop in it. but i feel the gtop in truly anything. i feel gtop when I go grocery shopping. but yeah I think there's lots of personal stuff. there's direct references to big bang / g-dragon songs, talking about being a celebrity, etc. a lot of it is just feelings though so stuff like "who does he mean when he says 'you're mine and i'm yours'??" is open to debate.
