dreamsiderhero:
Heâd just become accustomed to the presence of one person in his new home, and then two more arrive. Wasnât that just the luck? Cucumber consoled himself that two more adults shouldnât be so bad. He was so far into his own world that he didnât recognize that Peridotâs voice was odd for a solid two minutes. âNo, itâs just me. I canât find Almo-.â
Cucumber cut himself off, whirling around to stare incredulously. Heâs never been happier to see the little witch. âPERIDOT? How did you get here? How long have you been here? Are you living here?âÂ
Talk about mood whiplash! Is he really that surprised to see her? (What a hypocrite, you were surprised to see him too!) He said he canât find Almond, or at least he was about to, which quickly changed the girlâs demeanor. Crossing her arms, she avoided his gaze, grumbling her next words.
âWell duh I live here. Come on, green? Thatâs pretty much my thing!â Way to completely ignore the more important part, Peridot. Not that she cared. She was stuck in some dumb city with no dumb companions to hang out with. Just her luck. âIf I wasnât put here, Iâd have to have a talk with that stupid council. Why are YOU here though? Arenât you supposed to be on some boring adventure to save the world?â
