Sometimes life sucks. But, hang on and things will get better. Posting on this blog has been slow, but starting in the last few days of October ( about 1.5 months ago) my life started turning around. Why? Because I kicked some sense into myself and moved back into the same apartment I moved out of the last week of February, 2021. Since then I have made big strides to catch up with my personal work that was put on hold when I returned to Oklahoma from Las Vegas in November of 2019 to take care of an (Betty) ailing sister. I am glad that I did it but I have gone through a lot of crap since I left Las Vegas.
And that is enough of that. I also learned a lot since Betty passed away in October of 2020. I lived a nomadic lifestyle for several months. I lived with my older sister (Kay) for a few months. And, I lived with one of my sons for about three months.
I found out that living in a van is not always a picnic. I had purchased a 2002 Ford E150 van with the idea of converting it to a mini-RV van in April of 2019, but life got in my way soon afterward. But, I had purchased the minimum of equipment I would need for weekend trips. So, I was able to survive. But, I thank God I was able to get this apartment before cold weather got here again.
And, like I said at the beginning of this blog, I hung on and things are slowly getting better. I am eating and sleeping better. I am getting the exercise I need, my weight is stable, and medical problems I was having are slowly getting better. I believe that by next summer I will be able and ready to make weekend trips, living in my van, to do my photography. Who knows, maybe I will return to the road in better equipment.
