I think that no matter who you are, if there’s a spotlight on you, people are going to look for a reason to bring you down. Not because of you, but because of their own conflicts and battles. I live a life that I’m proud of, and when someone doesn’t agree with that, I’m sorry. I’m happy with myself, and at the end of the day, you’re the only one that lives your life. If you’re happy, that’s all that matters.

instagram: Music has always been a part of British singer Liam Payne’s (@liampayne) life. “When I was 6 years old, I sang karaoke for my granddad,” says Liam. “I knew then that I loved to perform, and now I’m doing something I’ve always dreamt of.” Today, Liam, now 23, performs around the world — first with the band One Direction — and now as his own solo act.
