Dance Sport Girls // Just Dance (2018) Ep. 11-12
You were full of joy and happiness. You weren’t alone like you are now. You had someone by your side. The man who taught you how to write your name, Man Weol. Is that the person you miss the most… over your long stay here? You have been waiting for that person… over this long period of time.
“Just a moment.”
The 3st IS REAL ft. Oh Changmin
“You got your hopes up, didn’t you?”
Kim Dan, listen up. If it’s about you, even a strand of your hair is good enough reason for me to care. To me, you’re the most important.
I can see you very well from up here.

#KDRAMAWOMENSWEEK | Min Hyo-rin as Na Ji-young in Individualist Ms. Ji-young
Day Two: Transformation
A character who surprised you with their growth, a character who changed over the course of the show, a character who went on a journey of self-discovery; or an actress who shows versatility in the characters she plays without it being based on her styling.
“I seek out my own form of happiness. I’m happier by myself. …People. Relationships. Social life. Small misunderstandings and bothersome emotional disputes. It’s a waste of energy. None of it is real, it’s all hypocrisy. Today I succeeded again in protecting myself from it all.” —Ji-young at the beginning of episode 1
“I wasn’t okay. I was afraid. That’s why I pretended. Whenever I’d get close to someone, every little thing hurt me. That’s why I always ran away. I left the other person before I could like them and end up missing them. …Even if it’ll be unbearably hard, I want to be happy for once. I want to cry when I want to, and laugh freely when I want to laugh. Do you think I can do it?” —Ji-young at the end of episode 2
That Ji-young is able to forgive her younger self for having been weak when she was just a child, that she’s able to allow herself to want things and have desire, allow herself to admit she wants to be loved, that she opens herself to truly give care (to her patients, to her cat, to Byuk-soo), and most poignantly, that she accepts she deserves to exist in the world, is one of the most moving transformations I’ve seen in a kdrama. It may be because Ji-young’s scars hit so close to home, it may be because Individualist Ms. Ji Young takes the fantasies of healing from childhood wounds and of being loved even though we’re fucked up and makes them legible and tangible, but watching Ji-young accept herself was revelatory and cathartic.
