TRANSCRIPT: MARP4: Where did you send them?! WHIA2: Maroon! Lovely to see you seeking me out for once. MARP4: If anything happens to them I will find a way to hurt you. WHIA2: Relax, relax. They're just in another scenario. WHIA2: Or scenarios, I should say. They're all very savvy, you know. Splitting them up is optimal. WHIA2: There will still be crewmates and "parasites" as you call them, but they will be a sort of... third party. WHIA2: Tasked with replacing their doppelgangers and avoiding suspicion as well as being targeted. WHIA2: I neglected to mention that if one of them dies they both lose, but they probably don't need to be motivated to protect eachother. WHIA2: You all spent multiple years killing eachother, but now they don't have to! WHIA2: Think of it as a much needed change of pace! MARP4: There are no words that can describe the depth of my disgust for you. WHIA2: ... WHIA2: You have no idea how much that pains me to hear. WHIA2: But fear not! We're actually doing this for a reason! WHIA2: Things being what they are, I can't tell you exactly why. But all these murder games are perfectly justifiable! WHIA2: But... I sincerely do hope your friends survive.
TRANSCRIPT: WHIA2: I am Laban. As far as you're concerned, I am your guardian angel. WHIA2: Also "no" to those things you asked for. WHIA2: Listen, you guys need to get with the program. You're here to play the game. It's simple. REDP0: What if we don't want to? We hold no value to you. Release us! WHIA2: Tell you what, just win one more game for me and I'll do just that! Promise. WHIA2: The way to win the game is easy: Be the only team left alive. WHIA2: A tie isn't hard to deal with, by the way. It just made it easy to figure out you were cheating. WHIA2: No more sharing information between games, okay? PURP2: Why should we play your sadistic game? PURP2: We don't want to have to kill our friends anymore! WHIA2: Fear not, Friends! I'm not sending you off to fight each other. WHIA2: We exist in a plane of infinite permutation! WHIA2: You all will be on the same team. You just have to be the last ones standing. WHIA2: Of course you may see other fellows that look similar to you... WHIA2: The crews you'll join will not hesitate to destroy an impostor. WHIA2: Might be best to take care of that problem first. WHIA2: Good luck!
TRANSCRIPT: YELP6: Even now I still feel like it'd be easy. A person shouldn't know 500 ways to kill their friends. PURP2: I get what you're saying. PURP2: Maybe you shouldn't be so quick to shut that part of you down, though. PURP2: It may come in handy at some point. YELP6: Handy?! I'm a goddamn homicidal maniac. PURP2: Woah hold on. I'm the neurologist here, so listen PURP2: I believe the fact that you're concerned at all is a good sign. PURP2: But look, we don't know who put us in that weird death game PURP2: I know how you feel. But I also know that if anything were to happen to any of you... PURP2: My experience as a parasite will absolutely be something I will be using against those responsible. REDP0: We have no weapons and no means of navigation. But we're not getting anywhere just standing here. REDP0: Our priority is finding Maroon, then finding out how to get out of here. WHIA2: Oh well I can answer that! WHIA2: You are all still within my little world! WHIA2: So you getting out is all up to me! WHIA2: As for Maroon, well... WHIA2: Let's just say they're in 'time out' REDP0: Who are you?! REDP0: Release Maroon and let us go!
TRANSCRIPT: REDP0: Right! REDP0: Let's begin with a brief on our situation. REDP0: We're currently lost in an unknown location with zero landmarks. REDP0: Maroon is MIA, and Blue and Yellow still appear to be infected. REDP0: We've spent the last couple years under the assumption that death is not permanent. That no longer applies. REDP0: Because of that, we should stick together. Despite their condition, I think that applies to Blue and Yellow as well. REDP0: They're not make any efforts to hide their status, and Blue says they feel normal, right? BLUP5: Y-yeah! Normal as we can be... The bloodlust is gone, anyway. REDP0: We all know what it's like to be infected. So I'm choosing to take his word. Any objections? ORAP9: Nah PINP1: Is that really a good idea? LIMP3: Makes sense to me! PURP2: Something on your mind? YELP6: You shouldn't be near me. I could kill you at any moment. PURP2: Do you want to kill me right now? YELP6: No... PURP2: Then what's the problem, come join us. Blue is trying his best to vouch for the two of you. YELP6: That's because they're not like me... YELP6: Blue didn't enjoy being a murderer.
Personnel File: BLUP5
Name: “Blue” Field: Medicine and Pharmacology Position: Chief Medical Officer Education Level: Medical Doctore Psychiatric Evaluation: Blue is an indomitable optimist. Which is probably a good quality to have in your medic. Though their consistent faith in others can be seen as naive, it's always encouraging when your future successes are treated as foregone conclusions. They're often seen pestering Yellow, but as slow to socialize as Yellow is, it's probably a good idea for them to stick together. Additional Notes:
Crewmate
Blue is not squeamish when it comes to cadavers. They'll be the first to point out potential murder weapons simply based on how the victim died. It's a useful tool when searching for potential killers, though they will tend to believe anyone who says they're not guilty on principal which has led to frustrating meetings.
Parasite
Blue is the easiest parasite to pinpoint in any given cycle. They are out to have a good time and play up being evil, so it's difficult for them to really find prolonged success as a murderer. It's when they're paired with a particularly insidious partner that they're their most dangerous. The parasite seems to play up their enjoyment of the spotlight, and being a little over the top, which is... an interesting tactic. It does make me think the traits they target in each of us aren't necessarily the most efficient for murder. I'll have to compare notes with Yellow to see if there's some kind of pattern...
Monster
Blue's monster form has yet to reveal itself, but I've included a sketch of what it could potentially look like. I think it suits them.
I guess I can upload this here too! Heard this song and instantly thought it made a great theme song for this AU :P More of a slide show than an animatic but it was a lot of work!
Has a couple teasy bits for future story ideas but we’ll see if they actually happen.

Personnel File: LIMP6
Name: “Lime” Field: Diplomacy and Linguistics Position: Chief Communications Officer Education Level: PhD, can speak 6 languages Psychiatric Evaluation: Lime's ADHD is well documented, and I think they sort of embrace it as a part of their charm. They're known to be forgetful and easily distracted, but they display a joy in simple pleasures and exciting new ideas. This can make them difficult to work with, but no one is ever upset when they have to. Additional Notes:
Crewmate
As a crewmate, you might assume Lime is oblivious, but they're actually incredibly tuned into the movements of everyone in the station. They seem to act like it's all a game or pretend not to know what's going on. Which can be frustrating but if you know how to talk to them, like Blue seems to, you can get a lot of useful information from them.
Parasite
Lime as a parasite is almost completely indistinguishable from their normal selves. Which is very problematic when you're trying to find out who is murdering all your friends. I'm unsure if their blitheness is just part of their personality or some kind of tactic to make it difficult to tell what their intentions are. Lime is either incredibly vapid, or incredibly dangerous.
Monster
Lime's monster form only ever appears if they're cornered and their guilt is obvious. It's difficult to say how their personality alters, since they've decided to only speak in what I can only assume is an original con-lang as a parasite. They then take to sabotaging the comm tower, making it impossible to keep track of any vital information and turning the base into a creepy horror game where they...Well, let's just say it's for the best to oust Lime as a parasite as soon as possible.
Personnel File: YELP6
Name: “Yellow” Field: Xenobiology Position: Chief Xenobiologist Education Level: Medical Doctor Psychiatric Evaluation: Overall healthy. May suffer from mild anxiety. Has a history of Impostor Syndrome. Recommend structured feedback cycle with emphasis on successes. No medications prescribed. Additional Notes:
Crewmate
When uninfected, Yellow appears to be mostly the same as always. They will often keep to themself, and not take on too much responsibility unless required of them. They can be helpful with logically pointing out who is acting suspiciously, but will often not do so unprompted. Potentially stemming from confidence issues as a result of previously noted Impostor Syndrome.
Parasite
Oh boy... Parasite Yellow. Of those of us dealing with the parasites, Yellow seems to have taken the most to this weird game we're playing. At first they were just as terrified and anxious as the rest of us, but as time has gone on they've...let's say 'adapted'. They are often excited to be infected lately. Like it brings them a rush of some sort. Comparing notes with the others we sort of determined that it seems to interact with our minds in different ways unique to the individual. With Yellow, I'd say it probably alleviates their performance anxiety, and rewards them with a heavy dose of serotonin when acting in alignment of the parasite's designs. They are eerily efficient when it comes to killing, often able to do so quickly enough to appear elsewhere and construct a plausible alibi. When I get the chance I should discuss with them possible alternatives so that their bloodlust doesn't become an addiction.
Monster
We rarely see Yellow in their monster form. Usually only appears in moments of extreme frustration. Such as when Lime continuously shut doors in their face during a chase. They appear to grow several spiny horn-like protrusions, claws, and a thick tail. Their demeanor is much more overt in this form, opting to being intimidating and blatant about their aggression. It does make them much easier to avoid, at least.
Personal Journal 001
I've been meaning to write these for a while, but... I guess I just kept putting it off. Things have been kind of off, lately. Since the infection started, we've had multiple fatalities. Including myself. If that seems strange, that's because it is. Every morning seems to reset things. Everyone wakes up again, and the infected ones are usually back to normal. But then someone else is infected next. It's...isolating...not knowing who you can trust at any given moment. But at the same time there's kind of a freedom to knowing you'll just wake up in the morning right as rain again... I digress. I may be the first to complain that there's no point to all of this, but I do have a job to do. I haven't updated the personnel files since we landed on Polus, but I think after the last year or so of this "situation" it's probably best to make some addendums. I'll start with the one most on my mind right now, I guess.
TRANSCRIPT: ORAP9: Hey, Red. Wake up. REDP0: Ngh... REDP0: Oh god, I died... ORAP9: Yeah, yeah. Welcome to the Club. REDP0: Is... everyone okay? What happened? ORAP9: Seems like it. We all just kinda woke up here. ORAP9: Blue and Yellow kind of went on a rampage. ORAP9: Not that I know anything about it. Since, you know. ORAP9: I guess Maroon and Yellow had some kind of showdown. And now we're just kinda stuck in this inky black void. REDP0: So Maroon's plan worked? We escaped the simulation? ORAP9: I dunno. Does any of this look like the real world to you? BLUP5: Red! We, uh... have a problem. BLUP5: We can't find Maroon anywhere. BLUP5: A-among other issues... TO BE CONTINUED...?
That’s all for now!
This is the end of the content I’ve created thus far. I hope everyone enjoyed the read. I don’t know how soon I’ll make more, exactly. But if I do this’ll be the place to find it! Feel free to ask me stuff with the Inquire button, maybe? (I’m queueing all of these posts way ahead of time so I have no idea how well received this comic will be. :P)

TRANSCRIPT: YELP6: Don't you feel all clever, Maroon. You couldn't just leave well enough alone. YELP6: I didn't even need the parasite anymore! I found a way to be happy, damn it! YELP6: We died, sure, but it was never permanent! Blue's existancee could end now! Because of me! YELP6: What the fuck did you expect me to choose?! MARP4: If it helps, you were right the first time. MARP4: It was never your choice to begin with. YELP6: Choose this, you asshole! MARP4: Ngh! YELP6: (heh... well... guess you win.) YELP6: (see you... tomorrow.) End_01
TRANSCRIPT: YELP6: It's not fair... YELP6: None of you understand how shitty this is! YELP6: I finally had something I felt could make me happy. Something I could deserve. YELP6: I never felt like anytthing special. Half of you could do my job for me. YELP6: My doctorate. Getting into this program. Going to fucking space. None of it seemed like something I accomplished. YELP6: Something in my brain, I guess, too scared of being happy. YELP6: But you know what's not afraid to let you know that you're doing something incredibly well? YELP6: This fucking parasite! YELP6: AND I'M REALLY FUCKING GOOD AT BEING A MO- MARP4: "Parasites are top-heavy and imbalanced when in their monstrous form." YELP6: Gkhh! MARP4: "Physiology is regenative and fluid-like. Bullets won't kill them, but can cause flinching." MARP4: "It takes a consistent 4.23 seconds for all traces of parasite to burn in magma from point of contact." MARP4: You may not believe me, but you're a brilliant biologist, Yellow. One of the best in the world. MARP4: Your notes are the only reason I'm able to save everyone tonight. MARP4: But being a monster? MARP4: Sorry. Competition is fierce.
TRANSCRIPT: BLUP5: Y-Yellow! YELP6: Blue! I got you! Hang on! MARP4: Turns out I know how to reload a gun. YELP6: Hahaha... you little shit! BLUP5: Yellow... It's going to be fine! YELP6: C'mon, Blue! You're asking me to let you die! BLUP5: Not necessarily! There's a good chance that we'll just wake up tomorrow same as always! BLUP5: I k-know you're scared. I am too! B-but, I'm going on ahead. Just trust me, ok? YELP6: N-no! Blue! FUCK! BLUP5: You can do it, Yellow! I believe in you!
