I'm not interested in pursuing a particularly blended art style in general, which I think could cause gaps in my digital technique. Anyway, I wanted to try out my own take on that "jelly artstyle" thinking it could be a fun way to practice blending.

I fought with it for a while, learned some stuff, and left all kinds of mistakes but I don't think I'll be coming back to this piece. I'm just not ready to spend more than an hour on something like this at the moment. Not vibing with it. I'll try a more blended rendering style as an exercise again sometime soon. Anyway, I want to get in the habit of posting work even if I am not loving it and there are some elements here I do like. Rambling over. Constructive criticism is welcome LOL

Here's Garnet WIP from today! I'm sure you can tell which skills I'm focusing on and which I'm kind of ignoring atm.

To keep myself creating and improving, I've been following wherever inspiration strikes so I want to do a couple small series of SU illustrations. Sketch dump under the cut. Hope to get a decent Amethyst done in the next few days.
