There are people (I’m not sure if we should be scolding them or worship them) who are leaking photos of the reaping scene being filmed right now. And I couldn’t agree more with those people who talk about how tall Joseph is and how you can easily recognise him from afar and how his curls are AMAZING -all right and all true.

But why nobody is talking about how Jesse plemons as Plutarch looks more like woody’s haymitch than Haymitch??? Like they have the SAME HAIR STYLE! he even wears something similar to what Haymitch wore on d11 victory tour in catching fire.

I love everything about this movie so far but the hair continuity is an issue I haven’t figured out how they will deal with just yet.

I personally think he is a great Haymitch, it’s just the visuals that bugs me.

Someone on twitter that mentioned that they could explain it in one of two ways - one which is not likely to be it but it’s interesting is that hair texture can change because of trauma.

And the second is that they would use his lake of hygiene to explain the lake of curls 😂

And then Effie would be like in the epilogue “you’ve got your curls back 🥹” (I literally wrote this three times today but I’m actually love this headcanon so much)

Yeah no he'll definitely do a great job I'm sure. I haven't seen much of him, so take everything I say with like a gigantic pinch of salt. It's just it bugs me (unreasonably so ik), that his hair wrong, that he's so much taller, that his nose is different... like I get that it's dumb, but it's just idk, one or two of those things would've been fine, but that they don't even do the hair accurately? Idk.

It's not just the looks that make me uncertain either, but I don't really wanna get into it. It's more of a gut feeling, which again I know is really stupid. He'll probably be great, and I'm going to watch the movie with an open mind

But you could say the same about Elle - like her and liz don’t have the same nose 😂 Dakota has a nose similar to Liz more then Elle.

Also with Joseph being this tall and Elle being taller then Liz - we still get to have the hayffie height difference 🤣

Also I think woody broke his nose at some point and nobody can recreate that work of art.

Joseph did a great job an we were liars (which I would never have watched if it wasn’t for him) he was the best in there by far and he is so witty

yeah, and I actually am saying the same things about Elle (just really quietly, cus I'm in the only person on the world who isn't 100% on board with that lmao), but there at least there they can do her hair in any way they like lol. you're obviously not gonna find an actor that fits in every single category 😭 im sorry but this is so um... like its a live action movie 😭 you cant expect a human being to be a good actor and also fit all the criteria to be a fictional character 😭 Jennifer Lawrence wasn't short or super duper skinny and josh wasn't much taller than her either, i think you need to take a breath and understand that HUMANS are making the film 😭 not characters being reincarnated.

Like i love and live for book accuracy, and yeah they should try their best to find an actor that fits the character perfectly, but nit picking such minute details is kinda unfair to the actor, there are thousands of things that need to be taken into consideration when choosing an actor for live actions, and there's always someone who isn't happy with them, and thats okay everyone has their opinions, but this is the kinda thing that YOU KNOW isn't gonna be exactly like how one person wrote in the books, Jennifer Lawrence was worried she wasn't "skinny" enough. like.

so yeah you can yearn for "a perfect book accurate human" but its a rare occurrence that someone fits ALL THE THOUSANDS OF criteria checklists. btw curly hair can loosen or become straight as you get old, this is a fact, and also due to health reasons, even the height is accurate for haymitch, he is tall. Woody was shorter but what can we do about that now.

Obviously Joseph is gonna look REALLY different from Woody's haymitch because??? thats him before 25+ years of trauma 😭

the entirety of IM2 is him being passively suicidal. He may not be trying to kill himself, but he’s not doing anything to prevent it and being overly reckless

In IM3 we see him struggle with PTSD and how it’s changed him and the relationships around him.

And that’s just the IM trilogy. Theres SO MUCH MORE I could talk about if we were to go into his past and the avengers movies
