One of the things I highly recommend to artists, beginners or not, is to keep as much of a timeline of your art as you can. Keep your old sketchbooks safe, take pictures of art that you’re selling or giving away. Art is one of many hobbies where progress always feels incredibly slow, and it’s so easy to get discouraged when you feel like your art is the same as it’s always been, and you look around to your friends or coworkers or online and see such wonderful art! But then, if you look at things like your childhood drawings, your old sketchbooks, your first digital drawings and make a timeline of your progress, you can truly see how much you’ve improved over the years. It gives you a timeline of when you’ve fallen in and out of love with art and why. So if you’re fortunate enough to have your childhood drawings, and keep an archive of your sketchbooks, maybe take a peek at them every now and then :)
my bestfriend sent me this pin as a gift in January. he said to 'bring him to Japan as your wayfinder'
so today I'm bringing him with me.
I just wanna say I'm glad you're drawing again. Love your artwork for a while especially your Sora x Namine. Those two are so cute ♥️💛 the sketches are just so nice to see
Thank you, Darling. Truthfully, I haven't been making much art as of late. I've been taking time off to prioritise my health. Hopefully one day I'll come back and get things started again, but for now I'll just have this blog open for anyone who'd like to vibe with my bbies, haha. Thank you so much for this. Messages like these mean a lot to me. 💙
