I imagine this will probably be one of the last posts on this account barring any surprises, so I’ll take one last opportunity to thank you all for joining me, and direct you both my Twitter and Picarto stream links here for both the BToybox updates and ESZ stuff, and my Inkbunny account for the ESZ specific stuff.
For those so inclined, a few last thoughts after the break.
Of the ways I expected this whole thing to go down, I cannot say a service clearing purge of sorts was anywhere on my top 10 list. I honestly thought somewhere in the 5+ years of this, I’d have stopped earlier out of lack of interest, being too busy to continue, etc. I’d actually say after the initial game project fell through after the other partner left, that should probably have been time to shut this thing down right then and there back somewhere in year one or two. Instead, I just started drawing some other stuff.
And kept going and going with no real goal or plan in sight.
Some random art of some OCs here, a bunch of image-board draw thread stuff there. I’m pretty sure of those following who can still read this, a good third of you probably found this place from one or the other. I won’t pretend that those sorts of work are why a lot of you came here: I never did properly use my own original characters on this blog. Even most of the recent mentions of the ‘mascot’ Hanako refer to how I really don’t draw here enough. Do you know that part of her backstory actually involves her being a character for a cancelled game and that she is regularly trying to set up a new project to finally get that starring role? How about the fact that the small buggy child that appeared in one of the few animation posts left on this account is actually supposed to be a side kick? Of course not, because I’ve barely shown any of that. Not sure if I’ll ever end up making use of any of that planning either.
On the ESZ side of things, I’ve actually been collaborating with a few others on a Sonic OC themed Angel Blade parody comic for some time now. Between world building, character and some costume designs, and some preliminary layouts, it’s virtually ready to start whenever the opportunity arises, which is probably after I wrap up whatever commissioned work I’ve agreed to and just go straight into it. Watch both Twitter and InkBunny for more details on this one.
I suppose this should be the part where I state my next plans are outside of that. I’m honestly not sure though. The Beyond Toybox thing was fun for a while, but maybe it is time to do something new. I’ve certainly got some more SFW ventures that could benefit from more time being spent on them instead. Other illustration work, animation stuff, a YouTube channel that’s been directionless for too long but may be stumbling into a niche that’s worth exploring. Maybe even actually taking some of those unused ideas from above and actually making a game proper!
Wherever this may be, I just want to thank you all once again for joining me even if just for a brief time on this interesting little venture of mine. Take care.
