Bad Girls Club Season 5 Secrets & Tea
There’s a lot of Bad Girls Club blogs out there.
And videos. and Instagrams. And awesome accounts. But since I know quite a bit about the show, and have watched many interviews over the years with the cast (including their appearances), I wanted to create my own space to pour some tea.
If you like the tea, please follow for more. I’ll be posting on all of the seasons that I know of. A lot of this tea may be old, some is rumored. But it’s all piping hot! Also, know that I do not approve of the show’s production’s methods of manipulation. I will be calling them out.
First off, this season had a lot more fights, and a lot more aggressive ones, in part because the show saw higher ratings with more physical altercations, so production encouraged it starting with this season.
It’s been rumored that a fight between Kristen and Erica from the first night out was cut. You can see a bit of this alleged fight on the S5 super trailer, in which Erica talks about a girl threatening to stab her. It’s been edited to make it look like she’s talking about Kristen.
However, Kristen confirmed on her YouTube channel that she never threatened Erica, and instead, was talking to the police about a random girl in the club who had wanted to stab Erica. THAT is why Erica said “She wanted to stab me.” She was not talking about Kristen. Kristen and Erica actually got along pretty well for the majority of the time in the house.
Erica confirmed the producers would hide girls’ stuff and then claim not to know where it went.
Morgan was supposed to the “star of the season.” She didn’t actually spend much time in Miami before joining the cast. She grew up in Connecticut, in fact, and is half-black. According to Kristen’s multiple reports, Morgan was extremely difficult to work with and rude to the producers, so they “set up” her dramatic exit from the house, and then made it look like she’d only been there a few days with careful edits. She was actually there for about four days. The producers also convinced Kristen, Cat, and Morgan to leave the club early that night, and convinced the remaining girls to pack Morgan’s stuff.
When Morgan comes home to find the front door locked (the back door is unlocked, as we discover soon), she’s livid. Lea pulls her aside and whispers to her that the producers were behind this and had set her up, and when it’s confirmed, that’s why Morgan breaks into the production room. It’s also why you can hear her saying, “You played me like a fool!”
They were hoping for a huge fight between her and the other girls, but it didn’t really happen. The producers let Morgan get jumped and didn’t step in. Yeah, they really did NOT like her. Morgan had been planning to leave anyway, but you know, they wanted more drama/action, and they got their first big “fight” of the season.
There was a fight at the beach that was cut. It was between Lea, Cat, and Kristen, and the girl and her friends tried to bum rush Lia and the other girls.
Cat, as many know, did not leave the house for the reasons stated. She was forced to leave Jamaica after she stabbed a male stripper in the face (the one she wanted to hook up with in the bathroom), and producers faked her letter to the girls to cover for her. Cat has a history of aggravated assault with deadly weapons. Perez Hilton later confirmed this. At one point, she even hit Erica on the head with her heel and left a bruise.
Production paid random locals to fight with the girls on the street. I wish I were joking.
According to Kristen, our favorite blondie, the girls were responsible for paying for all of their own drinks, food, etc., which is why people got into it over bills and money. They were paid a measly salary and the producers often egged them on, whispered in their ear, and encouraged them to be puppets. This comes up again and again each season.
Most disturbing of all, Kristen was drugged the night she and Lea fought by the man at the bar she’d been talking to. Instead of taking her to the hospital, producers took her back to the bungalow. She was incoherent, violent towards the crew, and increasingly erratic in behavior from the mix of alcohol and drugs (PCP). Kristen apparently later told Lea this, but Lea still couldn’t let it go for some reason.
Erica, Lea, and Ashley only jumped Christine because producers told them to. They wanted another big finale fight. No love lost, since it turns out Christine is a huge racist.
Lea and Morgan allegedly fought at the reunion, but it wasn’t shown. Some sources suggest that Morgan wasn’t even AT the reunion, and that her interview with Perez Hilton (and Cat) was edited it in to make it look like she was. That explains why she didn’t react to the girls’ insults and they spoke about her like she wasn’t there. Sneaky! (Though we’re not sure if this is even true).
