’Get away Elijah, get away and get Bianca in safety.’ Was what was running through his mind, and that was the only thing he focused on. He would stay and beat the living crap out of those guys for hurting Bianca but he couldn’t because that would be one against four times his muscles, and also because their chance where now.
The men seemed to back away from them once his threat filled the air between them and Eli held the iron pipe in his hand, until they were away, just to make sure no one was going to run after and mess with them again. But there was silence behind them and Eli’s heart was almost giving up from beating so fast. He thought one moment it would jump out of his chest or maybe even his throat. He threw the iron pipe behind him and ran as fast as he could to her car, waited for her to unlock it and hurried in and began to drive as fast as he could. The police being the second ones chasing them was his last worries at the moment. Actually, he didn’t care. They just had to get away from those sick bastards, whatever the cost. His knuckles turned white and they hurt, but he didn’t care as he held on to the steering wheel, not really realizing how hard he was holding. He looked in the rearview mirror to make sure no one was following them, but they were lucky. His breath was still fast and he had to take deep breaths to contain it.
He made sure they were well out of the zone for them to ever reach them before he stopped the car on a side road. He hid his face in his hands “Fuck.” He whispered in them and stood out of the car to walk over to Bianca’s side, as he opened the door and looked at her. “He almost raped you, are you okay baby? Where are you hurting?” he asked with a pleading voice. He didn’t want the answer of her being hurt, but of course she wouldn’t go away from there without a little scar either on her body and soul. He wasn’t even concentrating on forming a real sentence; he just had to make sure she was alright. He kissed her hand softly before pulling her close in a tight hug. “I’m so sorry I let them hurt you.” He apologized while he was drowning in guilt. He never in his life felt so helpless and useless as he did when he was lying on the ground. Just the fact that he had let the men almost rape her made him feel incredible bad. But he knew they were safe now, and holding her in his arms again, where she was safe had never felt so good.
He broke the hug and held her head between his hands. “I am here now, and you’re here now and we’re okay.” He whispered because of the close distance. “We’re okay.” He repeated. He wasn’t even sure if they even got the money or if they even had the drugs on them still; he couldn’t remember anything else than being helpless on the ground. “I will never let anyone hurt you, ever again.” He softly spoke and caressed her cheek softly with his thumb. He was excited to see his own face which been hurt in the process. He could feel nothing but pain, and he was pretty sure he was bleeding somewhere from, he just couldn’t tell from where it was, neither did he care. He could just see blood on his jacket which he didn’t take as a good sign.
