“I don’t think that’s a good idea. The cuddling that is,”Rachel said biting her bottom lip. It was true she didn’t think it was a good idea the closeness of the cuddling and what not would only make this thing harder. “But talking would be lovely.”

Brittany slowly nodded, knowing she’d have to face the fact that whatever was between them was over. “Alright. Well I’ll talk to you soon then,” She said with a soft smile and picked her cat up, holding him in her arms as she left Rachel’s home and walked back to hers.

Rachel sighed as she ran her nimble fingers through her long brow hair. She knew what Brittany was saying was fair but a part of her just wanted to fight with her and tell her that what they did wasn’t anyone’s business but their own and that she wanted Britt to herself,but that wasn’t fair. “Okay,”was  all she could think of to say.

Brittany pulled away from the hug and smiled softly at her. “But hey. I’m here for you for anything. And we’ll still talk and have the occasional cuddle.” She let her know and took one more cookie. “Thank you though. I’ll see you around?” She said and leaned down, kissing her cheek before patting her side for Lord Tubbington to join her.

Rachel smiled but the small was short lived. Her face dropped and her mouth turned down. “What do you mean? i just ….thought that we could- pick up where we left off. i mean i thought that that’s what we’d do anyway. i just can’t outside of these four walls…but with time maybe.”

Brittany shrugged a bit. “Well I wanna outside of these four walls, be with you. Whenever you’re ready then yeah, we can totally pick up where we left off. Time can mean one day to one year and I can’t do that to either of us.” She explained while hugging her gently. “That doesn’t mean I don’t care or like you anymore.”

The shorter girl held her breath as she examined Brittany closely.When she took a cookie Rachel smiled a tiny bit and let out a sigh of relief. “i’m glad you ike them they’re kind of my trade mark,”Rachel said happily as she watched brittany. “ i just…i’m not ready.”

Brittany finished her cookie and nodded slowly. Of course she really liked her, but if she wasn’t ready, she couldn’t do anything about it. “Okay..well, I guess we can start dating others then.” She said with a small shrug. “But hey it was nice, having you over and having cuddles and all that stuff.” She said with a soft smile.

Let out a sigh of relieaf as Brittany took a step inside.She ran a hand threw her long dark hair before motioning for the other girl to follow her to the kitchen acrossed the house. Once they entered the room and walked to one of the counter where she picked up a plate of sugar cookies. “Theses are for you.”

Brittany followed behind her to the kitchen. She looked down at the plate Rachel held, seeing ‘I’m sorry’ spelled out on all of them. It was one of the cutest things she had seen Rachel do, making Brittany give in to a smile. She shook her head and took one of them to take a small bite. “Mmm, they’re delicious.” She said and licked her lips. “And it’s okay. I can’t push you into anything and I won’t. Besides, this is adorable and I can’t not forgive you.”

Rachel jumped from the bar stoll as she herd a knock on the door and let out a deep shaky breath.She walked past the sofa a patted lord tubbington who was currently passed out on it and exposing his belly. She opened the door with shaky hands, sh was way more nervous than she should have been,her and Brittany were friends right? Friends who’d slept together (more than once) and Rachel refused to admit she wasn’t straight.

“Hi,”the girl said as she looked Brittany up and down. “He’s alsleep but would you come in i wanna talk to you?”

Brittany was relieved that Lord Tubbington was with Rachel. Even if she was mad at her, she was thankful that he was found. Besides, she did miss her. Maybe a quick visit will do. Ever since she didn’t want to put on the shirt for their performance she hadn’t spoken to her. She knocked and saw Rachel open the door. “Hey,” She said and stuck her hands in her back pockets. “Oh, sure.” She said and came inside while looking to see her cat peacefully asleep on the couch. The girl couldn’t stay mad at someone who took care of her cat.

Brittany scrunched up her nose. “That’s gross.” She said and rolled her eyes. “Clearly you don’t love yourself or else you’d just put the shirt on and dance with me.” She said and threw the shirt in Rachel’s locker. There was no sense in her keeping it anyway. She shook her head before leaving down the hallway, leaving Rachel alone and would give her her space since that’s what she seemed to want.

And you mean a lot to me so I don’t think we should keep hiding out and stuff. You’re the brightest person at this school and a lot more people should know that here. That’s why I think you should wear the shirt for glee club,” She explained with a proud look on her face.

Brittany was more than excited for glee club this week. The goal was to show who you truly were, and Brittany was more than happy to show that.
