I watched 13 reasons why and it wasn't until a day later that I realised why it made me so uncomfortable; it assigned blame so easily. Maybe it's just me, but I can't so easily name the number of people who have caused my life problems. Sometimes, I can only blame myself. It also scared me young teenagers are watching the show when they don't understand the problems being discussed all too well. idk. I guess I'm just scared someone will watch and decide to repeat,,

yes yes yes i totally get you. for me and my problems, it all just comes down to my ocd and my impossible expectations, no one directly caused shit in my life. i know it’s different for everyone but i wasn’t too comfortable list of people but storytelling i guess?? + yes, the show sends out mixed messages of ‘don’t kill yourself suicide is never the answer’ and ‘look at how everyone suddenly cares now that you’re dead.’ fiction involving themes like these are so dangerous bc people see shit and sometimes they imitate it or become influenced. the difference between glorifying and raising awareness is such a fine line, it’s scary.

maybe? i do have some characters i love and there are many scenes with many gorgeous people but i’m not sure i want to rewatch to find the scenes i want to gif. i’ll sleep on it.
