I've finished a first-draft screenplay of my next project. Working title: "Pater Noster and the Mission of Light." A slasher/body/folk-horror-adjacent psychedelic mindfuck. (SPOILER ALERT) A record store clerk goes searching for a collector's grail psychedelic record and discovers the remnants of an aging drug-manufacturing, schizophrenia-worshipping hippy cult who kill her friends and seek to impregnate her with a 50-year-old fetus. (END SPOILER) I'll probably do a couple more re-writes before I show this to anyone as I've probably written something that will be impossible to shoot on my budget (but that's never stopped me before). This is going to be a bigger project than just a horror movie. I want to involve a lot of the local arts community and prior to production there will be the recording of a full album of songs that will portend to be "the most psychedelic record ever made" which I plan to mix in 5.1 (my first experience doing a 5.1 mix!). There will also be a short film produced in advance of the feature which will tie-in.
