You still care about her, don’t you?

get to know me meme: [3/20] relationships ♥ teresa and thomas (the maze runner series) She didn’t let him finish. Rushing forward, she was in front of him in two long strides and reaching out, grabbing his shoulders and pulling herself close to him. Shocked, Thomas wrapped his arms around her and squeezed, embracing her so tightly he suddenly worried she couldn’t breathe. Her hands found the back of his head, then the sides of his face, making him look at her. And then they were kissing. Something exploded within his chest, burning away the tension and confusion and fear. Burning away the hurt of seconds earlier. For a moment it felt like nothing mattered anymore. Like nothing would matter ever again.

I can’t stop thinking about that last scene between Thomas and Teresa. Just imagine how special those last few minutes they thought they had left together. It’s like for a couple of seconds the world around them just stopped and it was finally them. Feeling like they were the last 2 people left on earth, and taking in everything they’ve been through in the past, everything they’ve lost and got hurt from to finally end up in that moment. It almost feels like fate. Even if she betrayed him, she never meant to. She thought she could save lives; she tried to at least, but failed. In that moment he understood her, he’ll never agree with her intentions but he finally understands her and loves her. And if he was going to die in that moment, Teresa was the one he wanted to be with. For so long they’ve been apart, and all in those few moments the anger he’s been building up over the last few months just break down into this softness. The one girl that always came back to his mind, the only girl he’ll have a deep emotional connection to was holding his hurt body in her fragile arms. And that kiss wasn’t just an “it’s the end of the world” kiss… NO, it was more of an “I wish I never left you” kind of kiss because “I love you. After everything that happened it’s always going to be you.”
