Notes: I am 22, I'm not interested in writing explicit scenes through blog posts, I will however write them through DMs (if I am comfortable doing so and if you are 18+), although I'm not a huge fan of smut heavy plots. Stiles frowned, looking down at his hands again. The glow was gone, back to his normal pastiness. It was like nothing was different, that nothing changed. Except for the tingle under his skin, like feeling of sunlight at noon. He swallowed and stood up, ignoring the feeling for now. He'll worry about it later when it became a problem.

"Will I? The fae who kidnapped me didn't seem like the sharing type, and last I checked there's not other fae just living amongst the weres and humans in Beacons Hills?" He was cautious as he came closer to where Derek was sitting and slowly sat down next to him. "Is this ok?

"There are other fae, you just don't realize it. Most people don't. It's not as big of a deal as you think it is. Just like being a wolf, you learn to control and mask it."

He shrugs and looks at him. "Yeah, it's fine. I don't mind you being close. Don't worry. It doesn't bother me or anything."

Stiles rubbed his eyes, like he was trying to rub the sleep and the nightmare from his mind. The image of sharp fangs looming over him was still so fresh in his mind. "What? The sheets?" He didn't understand, the sheets just smelled like laundry didn't they? He let out sigh through his nose. He just smelled soap. Just. Soap.

Spice. Leather. Pine. Wolf

The last scent jolted something in Stiles and he scrambled back against head board, as far away from Derek as possible. "Shit, shit..." It smelled similar to his dream and that fear washed over him all over again.

"Just get off of the bed and I'll strip the sheets. It really isn't a big deal," Derek sighs, leaning against the door frame. "It'll be easier if you get off of the bed." There probably wasn't going to be much of anything that would fix this, but Derek had to try.

"Again, just because you were born into this doesn't mean you have to be the pack's walking encyclopedia for all things supernatural..." Stiles wondered if Derek had any objections to him and Scott coming to him over the years asking him for information. He could see that it was annoying that two teenagers kept bothering him, but it was only because, at least in Stiles' case, he trusted the older wolf more than any other adult who was in the know.

Stiles had his eyes closed as he leaned against the window as Derek continued to drive. The sun was starting to peak up over the trees of the preserves and some rays of sunlight made their way through the leaves and windows of the car. He felt it immediately, a warmth that tickled his skin, and he sat up, letting the blanket he had wrapped around himself fall away.

"Holy shit..." He was looking down at his hands as beams of light streamed through the mirror. They gave off a soft, unnatural white glow. But he felt warm, the first time in days that he was starting to feel like himself again. And if this was from just a peak of sunlight through the window of the car...

"Derek just....just stop here. This is fine. I-I need to..." As soon as the car stopped, he was out, running straight into the trees. He could feel the sun on his skin, warming every part of him, down to his bones. He only stopped running when he got to a clearing and collapsed on the ground, laying in the grass and letting the morning sun beat down on him.

"Yeah, well.. it kind of does." He sighs. "All I know about the fae is that Laura tried to give me to them multiple times when I was a baby. She said I smelled funny and was creepy, whatever that means." He rolls his eyes with a bit of a huff. "So, yeah. I'll be of literally no help with this one. I mean, not literally, I guess. I know the basics, like I said.. but... I mean, the basics that I was taught are not actually basics, they're just guidelines for what to do when you encounter a fae and that.. they exist.. basically. Laura got a much more extensive education in all things supernatural."

Derek goes quiet when he sees Stiles' hands glowing, taking a deep breath. He's not scared, really, or nervous, he just feels like things are changing and it always puts a lump in his throat. Derek doesn't like change. He really doesn't. He stops the car when asked, putting it in park.

His initial instinct is to just follow right behind Stiles, but they didn't get a chance to talk about whether or not Stiles wants him there. He idles awkwardly in the car for a minute or two before finally getting out and trailing behind Stiles.

He sits down on the edge of the clearing, not wanting to block any sun or get in Stiles' space. He's quiet, just staring down at the ground. He can feel the energy, Stiles' energy, fae energy, in the air and it's slightly unsettling to his system; he knows it isn't Stiles' fault, he's just not used to it.

Stiles laid out on the grassy clearing as the sun's rays beat down on him. It's been days since he felt any relief from the ice cold that gripped him down through his veins since being captured by the Unseelie faes. As he continued to warm, he could feel the heat just under his skin, a tingle at his fingertips. He never felt more like himself in awhile.

After a little while, Stiles sat up, sitting cross legged as he looked down at his hands. They were no longer pale, back to their normal coloring, but they were glowing softly still. "I guess I'm going to have to get used to this..." He looked up at Derek and frowned when he saw the wolf sitting away from him. He was wearing the familiar frown he got when he was thinking too hard about something he didn't like.

"This bothers you doesn't it? I bother you now don't I?"

"No, I- No." He sighs, shaking his head. "No, you don't bother me.. I just.. I'm not used to it. The smell is really strong. Like, it's got this ozone smell, like.. before a big storm, you know?" He rubs at his arms quickly. "Makes my hair stand up." He clears his throat. "I've just gotta get used to it. I'll acclimate, I promise, don't worry."

He looks at his hands, biting his lip. "You'll learn to control it eventually and your energy will fluctuate. It won't always be this bright."

Stiles almost let out a sigh of relief when Derek ended up just going back downstairs. He stretched out a bit, laptop still settled between his legs. If he was able to find out information about werewolves when Scott first got bitten, he was sure that he could find information on other weres in the depths of the internet...

The fox researched straight into the night until he couldn't keep his eyes open any longer, falling asleep across the foot of the bed, hugging a pillow close to his chest.

Derek ended up sleeping on the couch downstairs. He figured that if Stiles needed anything, he would either come get him or yell for him. Otherwise, if anything else happened, he would hear it. Stiles, despite now being a fox, wasn't exactly known for being super stealthy.

Derek was exhausted after the long day and was asleep within a couple of hours of going downstairs. He was usually a light sleeper, but he actually ended up sleeping pretty heavily.

Stiles found himself in amongst the trees of the preserves. He knew he was in the preserves because he could smell that hint of ash that was so strong he could smell it even when he was fully human. He must have been close to the old Hale house. He didn't recognize where he was though, everything around him seemed taller, bigger.

He heard a noise, soft but closer. He turned around and braced himself, holding his breath so he could listen closer. It was more footsteps, the sound of walking on twigs and branches, and then silence. There was a part of him that wanted to run, but he was paralyzed where he stood. He heard another noise to he left but before he could turn to see if he could catch what was making it, something big and black tackled him to the ground. A wolf with red eyes growled at him, holding him down with a large paw. Stiles struggled against the hold, thrashing to try and get away. Claws managed to swipe at the wolf's snout once before the animal howled and leaned down to bite down hard at his neck...

Stiles bolted up screaming, claws out as he thrashed away from the dream wolf's bite. When he realized it was just a dream and he looked around, realizing where he was, he calmed a little. He took deep breaths as he tried to calm his racing heart. He looked down and saw the sheets on the bed were sliced up by his claws. "Shit..Derek's going to kill me..."

Derek was up and running within seconds of the screaming starting, bolting upstairs. "Are you okay?!" He bursts into the bedroom, eyes glowing as he looks around. He's a little frantic, obviously, he thought something was after Stiles. "Jesus." He slumps against the doorframe when he sees that there's no threat in the room, only Stiles.

"Are you okay? What happened?" He sighs, looking at Stiles, trying to steady his breathing and heart rate. He hadn't even noticed the sheets, the most important thing in the room to him was Stiles.

Stiles shook his head, breathing deeply as he tried to calm himself down. He pulled his knees up to his chest, trying to make his heart stop racing. "Nightmare...there was...huge wolf. Like fucking gigantic and it had me pinned...was going to bite me..."

He looked down at his claws and the teared sheets. "Sorry... that...that felt so real. I could even smell the trees ad the anger..."

"You're okay. You're safe." Derek wanted to offer him some comfort, a hand on his back, a hug, but maybe his scent was making it all worse. "Sorry, uh, I should've put fresh sheets on. Maybe my scent.. triggers your instincts or something." He swallows. "I'm sorry."
