being polyamorous and in a very specific kink dynamic is sometimes hard to track because like yes! we can fuck and date and love other people but also there is some stuff that is still off limits. like any dad stuff is specific and special to our relationship- they’re my dad only and they’re my only dad. but incest stuff in general is not off limits to others! and yes this this is hierarchical but I don’t think it’s harmful? the intersection of kink and poly and hierarchy is tricky to navigate.

Honestly I really like seeing you talk about this cuz like. I’m convinced a lot of people don’t actually know what hierarchy means, they’ve just heard it from other people and been given a skewed understanding from someone who wanted more than a partner or partners could give and wasn’t able to come to terms with that.

There’s a big difference between the stereotypical married couple who’s hunting for people to spice their relationship up, and people who have put in time and work to find and solidify their boundaries, and then are willing to work within those while also making space for people and their wants/needs and their boundaries. Now I’m rambling and probably sound dumb but. I just think it’s important for people to talk about, or see people talk about.

I also think like. a LOT of people pretend not to have hierarchy and that really gives hierarchy a bad name? like people who are in hierarchical relationships but say they’re not go into relationships with others saying they have a lot more to offer than they really do. hierarchy isn’t this evil yucky disgusting thing it’s just a fact of life. marriage is hierarchy, nesting is hierarchy, hell even being in a decade-long relationship can institute hierarchy. accepting that that’s what it is protects everyone involved from a whole lot of hurt.

yk actually I have more thoughts ab this because it's only thin people that do this and there is ofc an obvious element of diet culture + pride in thinness there but bc I see it almost without fail in the bio's of subs it just strikes me that along with your internalized fatphobia on a general level you're also associating smallness and thinness with submission to the degree that you feel the need to advertise how much you weigh. which I don't fully blame these subs for bc it is also reciprocated by the doms who believe that thinness and smallness are more attractive or more submissive in some way which is so stupid and narrow minded and ultimately harmful. it's just a small sliver of a whopping massive anti-fat bias and you think it means nothing but you're telling on yourself in such an extreme way. so actually maybe don't stop doing that because I want to stay the fuck away from you unless you're committed to unlearning that
