The brunette quirked a brow, reaching up to run a hand through her hair. “Well, other than the fact, I was returning your pictures and hoping to catch Doctor Deaton, I’ve got nothing. Apparently, I just happened to find myself in the right place at the right time.”
"Hey, I wasn't trying to pry," Lyall surrendered, hands up, and smirking. "To be fair, though, it's sort of my job to ask. Deaton said he'd be right back, but I take his promises with a grain of salt. You should take a seat."
Stiles was sitting outside his father’s office, staring at some random guy. The man seemed familar, though Stiles couldn’t remember where he’s seen him before. He was playing with a small ball, throwing it up and down, and had his eyes narrowed at the officer. Suddenly, he realised the man was talking to him so he focused and catched his ball. ”Why would there be a problem? And refering to me as a ‘kid’ seems, I don’t know, weird since you don’t look that much older than me.”
"I'm definitely over ten years older than you, but thanks," Lyall retorted with a shrug. He only knew of Stiles what passed in conversation with his remaining family members and with the force, and altogether he didn't seem horrible. The werewolf would refrain from any teasing for now. "And I'm only asking because you keep glancing over at me with a look that wonders if I should really be here."
Hannah looked downward for a moment, biting back a laugh. This was so typical, she found herself in the weirdest situations at times. “I’m by no means complaining but yeah, that’d be an idea.” She too offered a smile, shaking her head lightly. “It’s nice to meet you Lyall, name’s Hannah.”
"Hannah," he repeated, and made a mental note to remember it. "It's nice to meet you while I'm in the middle of getting dressed. You got an excuse for finding me back here?"
Lyall is younger than Peter by exactly eight months, making his birthday June 27th. He is a cancer.

"Uh, I think that was it — aside from your shirt." Her voice was teasing and she allowed a laugh to pass her lips.
Lyall looked down at first and pressed his lips together as if to admit to defeat. She had a point. "I...was just getting to that, if you must know."
"Guess I should introduce myself if I'm already half-naked, right?" He said, and offered a half-smile. "Lyall."

The huntress watched his expression change — she guessed it was one of those photographs that were painful to look at, like ones that were kept hidden in the back of the drawer, just serving as painful reminder — yet, you couldn’t bare to part with.
“It’s not a problem, love. Photographs are precious.”
"That's one way to put them," Lyall replied, and raised an eyebrow. "And it's the only thing I've dropped, I hope."
He's done this twice--once for when Cora parted ways from him, and again when he came back to Beacon Hills and learned of Laura's fate.

He's...less than pleased with his little sister's answer, but it probably shouldn't have surprised him that she would take it a lot less seriously than Lyall did.
”Hey — uh, you dropped this.”
{Turquoise irises scanned over the picture momentarily before slender fingertips held the photograph out in offering to the tall stranger.}
His gunpowder blues widened at the photograph--as though he had forgotten its existence entirely. But the surprise was short-lived, since his face quickly returned to it's flat, apathetic, and slightly grumpy default.
