Pardon the rant,

Tim and I moved into this apartment under the guise that we would be moving in with an IT guy who splits his time here and at his girlfriend’s place so we would have the place to ourselves at least some of the time. One weekend he goes home and says he’s bringing back a friend. We assume it’s for a week or so. Flash forward to almost 3 months later and the friend is still here, still sleeping on the couch that we bought. He has also since broken the toilet by not buying toilet paper, costing the house $1500 (which was also someone blamed on me) . Was told yesterday that the rent had gone up $50 for now as long as this guy is living here, and would go up $100 if/when he leaves. Tim asked for paperwork so that we could make sure of this, as well as to get renters insurance if another problem were to come up. Because said roommate is incredibly insecure, he made a big issue of it and asked if we wanted to move out that if we wanted this other guy gone we would have to talk to him about it, yada yada. We weren’t thinking about moving out, until now, and when Tim tried to talk to this guy our roommate said not to. Am I crazy or is he?
