So I tried driving the car to the dmv to register it and it stalled. Replaced the the carb and installed an electric fuel pump. Still stalls, looks like the car might need new fuel line sending unit and gas tank top eliminate any problems.
So instead of driving my car to work the next morning I rode my bike. But the best silver lining was this awesome sunrise.
Ok so my gauges don't work and apparently this is a common problem. Oil fuel and temp share the same circuit and there is a a voltage regulator inside the fuel Guage. This part might be bad and is upgradeable to solid state regulator. This will be a big project in itself. I can't wait to takle it.

Ok got the engine started and it was noisy and it kept backfiring thru the carb. It turned out to be a broken lifter. The one on the left is broken

Ok headers are a pain. They lead directly into the frame.
Got prebent tranny lines from classic s industry. So far the fit is good
Lol this is the most bling this car will probably ever have. Blue anodized aluminum tranny fittings.
